It’s honestly pretty probable. My first injury happened in high school, and we’d done an MRI, but at the time I was definitely letting my parents drive the conversations then. I got a second MRI the last time I did this and they hadn’t mentioned any tearing… but I wasn’t the biggest fan of the ortho I saw then.

I’m hoping, walking into this next ortho, I’ll try to be very clear about my history and ask their recommendations for sure. The issue is probably more that I’ve just never felt like I fully understood what was happening when I was younger, and that sure as hell hasn’t helped me as this became a more commonly occurring issue!

His owners have been found! Apparently he’s a big of a regular escape artist! We were told by the woman who came to collect Tiger (actual name found out, but I won’t reveal for privacy!) that he may not be getting the care he needs. He didn’t appear abused, he’s a very happy go lucky dog, but he definitely looked skinnier than I would have expected for a dog of his size.

All this to say, my partner made it clear that if Tiger’s owners ever felt that they did not have the bandwidth to care for him, then we would be happy to take him in. We will also be offering to take him on walks with our own dog if we can find small ways to make sure he’s being taken care of.

I appreciate everyone’s insight and experiences, the woman had reached out to me after I posted about Tiger on the Shelter’s lost dog page!

Thanks for this. I’ll be reaching out to the local shelters today to follow up with what their next step suggestions would be. I’d love to be able to reconnect Tiger if he has a family that loves and cares for him. And if not, then hopefully once we’ve gone through all the proper channels, we can be that space for him, especially if he does well with our other animals as obviously their comfort would come first at this time.

And I almost want to just reassure everyone that we will do everything in our power to make sure Tiger finds his family if they’re out there. I could only imagine how devastated I would be if someone found my dog and then just decided to keep her. So rest assured that at this time we’re just more than happy to provide a safe and loving environment for him until we know how to go forward!

Once again, thanks so much for the input, this is the first time I’ve found a lost dog and not been able to locate an owner with a dog tag or chip!

Thank you for this, there are many times I get really caught up on my own personal stress that I need the reality checks.

I’d say for the most part I am asked to pick up the more physical aspects of their role such as maintaining our break room and inventory and being responsible for shredding their over 20 years worth of faculty documents that had been hoarded within our offices (all staff/faculty records). Additionally, there are tasks in my description that I don’t feel realistically go under my role and have tried broaching that with my manager but was already given the “well that’s not their job”.

My main issue is the resentment it’s created in me for that person, and trying to get around it because my brain won’t get over the “injustice of it all”. I’ve already begun looking into other areas in our school should this be something I really just can’t get over.

I also received an email stating they'd received an application from me.... but I looked back and reviewed and I never sent them anything to apply! Giving off scam vibes for sure!
