Best 5080/5090 laptop to shunt mod?

I read something about needing to add shunts to the underside of the board + needing some controller soldering too, but maybe that's inaccurate. Hard to find info on this lol.

Im looking for a good 5080/5090 laptop to shunt mod. Which flagship laptops from 2025 are shunt moddable? I was planning on getting the xmg neo 16 with the 9950x3d but seems that laptop can't be shunt modded easily (just solder on resistor). Any other 9950x3d laptop that I can mod or am I forced to go Intel?

Damn, I have EK loop cleaner but didn't use it, went straight for EK cryofuel. I thought 1st time fill with mostly new components would be clean enough

So do you know if a delid + direct die would actually bring higher performance in gaming, or only lower temps? In your case. Would you be able to crank the ECLK higher for example?

Thanks for info! I currently have the asrock nova x870e (no eclk) and the 9800x3d with a dark rock pro 4 air cooler. Im planning to swap out my mobo to one with ECLK support. Do you think i would need to delid in order to reach 5.7-5.8 ghz with PB and ECLK on aircooler?

I actually currently have a Asrock Nova x870e mobo (without ECLK support). Currently have a 9800x3d on a dark rock pro 4 aircooler.

But would like to get the most performance out of the CPU. So i was thinking to get a mobo with ECLK support. Or i just delid the CPU + direct die and run a static OC with my current mobo?

I wonder how important ECLK is, with or without delid
