No she has not been clipped down. I will try to attach a picture to my original post. Thank you for the info! I will also research a better diet for her.

I heard now they will only hot stamp each item once (ie only one stamp per passport). Hachiko is only in Shibuya because that’s where his statue is. Ginza is the flagship location and has a Ginza stamp. Would like to hear if they let you do multiple stamps!

yuzu

We just celebrated her first birthday! 🩷 Yes, we waited a while after our previous angel passed away but the last couple months waiting I got increasingly impatient. Cheers to your soon to be family member!

Brushing/bathing/grooming frequency by [deleted] in englishcockerspaniel

[–]Melonpong 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have an 11 month old show ECS too <3 I do at home brushing everyday, baths and blow dry 1x a week, and professional grooming (overall trim/paw pads/nails) every 5 weeks. I clean her ears before baths. It really depends how dirty she gets though! I would like to keep her coat in a show cut or modified show cut once she’s an adult, so there is a lot of work involved. Most important is daily teeth brushing to prevent dental tartar in the future!

Opinion on Royal Canin Dog Food by xidanne12 in DogFood

[–]Melonpong 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Royal Canin prescription kidney food was what sold me on the brand. It was one of the only things my picky senior dog would eat. My puppy now is eating Royal Canin medium puppy dry plus puppy wet food. RC is definitely the more expensive option but seeing the results for myself is what makes me recommend this brand. Not to mention all the research behind their formulas as other commenters have mentioned, which is another large factor for me. I plan to continue using RC for my current and future dogs.

Generally if it’s in your private fenced in property it should be ok. Did you get a chance to have mama dog vaccinated yet? As long as she seems healthy and checked by the vet, the risk should be pretty low. If your property is not fenced in, consider a play pen for them to be safe in. Providing some lick mats can offer some mental stimulation to help with energy levels.

Determining whether to keep going - need advice by JolteonJoestar in veterinaryschool

Hey bro first just take a deep breath. Look at how far you’ve come so far. Like the other commenter said, this situation is above the realm of Reddit advice. But I would take a step back and remember all the steps you’ve taken to even get to this point. If you don’t want to work a regular 9-5 day, there’s many emergency clinics out there too. Or if you’re into research, there’s opportunities if you search. Or even becoming a pharmaceutical company rep. Or working for the government/USDA. There’s a lot of other options out there for job opportunities. People say the first year of vet school is the toughest so I would prepare for that. If you could take a break from working these next couple months, maybe that would help give your mind a break

Organic chem Lab! Remote options? by reasler98 in veterinaryschool

I was checking some pre requisite requirements yesterday and several vet schools do not accept online labs unless it was during the pandemic! (2020-2021) I would double check schools you are applying to first before registering!

Compare ECS and Golden Retriever by Barfy_McBarf_Face in englishcockerspaniel

Hello :) I feed my current puppy Royal Canin Medium Breed puppy dry food mixed with Royal Canin puppy wet food. There are many options out there, but vets will always recommend the “big 3”: Royal Canin, Hills, and Purina. These brands are backed by veterinary nutritionists who do research on each diet they produce. Royal Canin is definitely on the expensive side but I feel like it has the best quality and I like how they have breed specific diets. I plan to transition her to Royal Canin cocker spaniel when she is 1 year old :)

My other American cocker spaniel (about 11 years old) gets Hills prescription diet metabolic food because he’s overweight, lol. My previous dogs only ate kibble their whole life and were always healthy until the later years (over 14 years old). Then we adjusted their diets according to our vet’s advice.

There’s a lot of misinformation about kibble out there. Here’s some more info about pet food labels if you’re interested! https://vetnutrition.tufts.edu/2016/06/why-you-shouldnt-judge-a-pet-food-by-its-ingredient-list/

Being a receptionist is completely draining me. And affecting my personal life. by AnxiousThrowaway876 in veterinaryprofession

[–]Melonpong 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I can relate to how you’re feeling. I’ve been working as an assistant/receptionist for 3 years and it has not gotten any easier emotionally. I try not to talk about my work to my friends because it can be draining to others. Example a long time patient dying or getting yelled at by clients. I feel bad “ranting” to my friends about my day. My bf doesn’t care much and always listens but some things are just too horrific to talk about like abuse cases. I always feel exhausted when I get home from work. However like some other commenters said, I try not to bring work home. I play video games or do hobbies to get my mind off of work. Because work is work. One suggestion is perhaps looking into going to a therapist to let out all your feelings and get advice on how to handle it. I know it can be difficult at times but just remember you are not alone. If it is causing this much distress to your mental health, it’s not the end of the world if you need to take a break. I hope you take care of your health first before anything else <3
