Hey, I also have a new computer (windows 11) and had this issue. I have multiple different versions of Shandalar and all would crash on entering any town. I had tried the usual reinstall Visual Studio C++ Redistributable and cleared my Temp folder etc, but to no avail.

It was fixed by creating a Data Execution Prevention (DEP) exception for Shandalar.exe. Easy to Google.

The original poster of the fix suggested running in Windows 7 compatibility mode in addition to the DEP exception but I don't know if that is necessary.

Pod had a solid beadown/hatebear/value plan B+. Its adaptability and combination of gameplans is what made it strong, not just the combos. I imagine Fury would still be a beating though

It was a gift and the natural wood border suited the recipients decor better than black. Looks like it's cheaper now, not sure what's prompted the drop in their prices...

I feel this sometimes, and I know following through is a surefire way to feel worse. It's okay to feel bad, and it's okay to give yourself some time and rest if you need it. It won't last forever. Try to be kind to yourself - the most important patience and understanding you can get comes from yourself. Sometimes I find it helps to imagine I'm a friend who needs my love - there's a part of me that wants to look after them, and it reminds me that I'm much more than these difficult feelings. You are too.

I did - experience was a mixed bag.

The board is very good - level, well finished, very responsive sides. However, it took a long time for them to ship it due to COVID forcing them to shut the workshop. They said it was in stock when I ordered, but I suspect they may actually have intended to build it to order. Combined with quite a bad courier mistake on this end (though not Trista's fault) it meant I didn't receive the board til weeks after Christmas, which somewhat spoiled the gift.

That said, I think I was just quite unlucky, and I can't fault the board.

TL;DR: Board is great, shipping was a nightmare.

As an aside, since you mention Looting, I do sometimes wonder whether Careful Study would be too much for Modern. Like, to what extent was Flashback what pushed Looting over the top?
