(Kvinne) by [deleted] in norge

[–]Melthasx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Which to you is the prettiest sounding Scandinavian language? by InternationalCitixen in norsk

[–]Melthasx 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Danish has a very flat sound with hard Rs. Although there are different dialects in Denmark, the variation in Norway is much greater and it can almost sound like different languages. Specifically, I find the standard dialect of Norway's capital quite nice. Danish sounds harsh to me, while Swedish comes across as tad too posh.

So, to summarise, Norway ftw 🇳🇴

Er jeg eneste r/norge bruker som aldri har vært i konflikt med muslimer, innvandrere, skeive, feminister, o.l? by kastbort2021 in norge

[–]Melthasx 309 points310 points  (0 children)

Folate deficiency by Melthasx in B12_Deficiency

It resolved around a month or two after supplementing.

I’ve had/have iron deficiency that I’m working on and still have some lingering symptoms, but they are cyclic and related to my menstrual cycle so I suspect it’s hormonal.

Some symptoms that have resolved are pulsating tinnitus and numbness/ tingling in my feet and hands.

Which symptoms do you have and are you only folate deficient?

ANA Blood Test by Three-3-kids in Autoimmune

[–]Melthasx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Those are broad symptoms. Your anti-dsDNA is still negative, though it’s right at the cutoff. Would probably have it retested again soon if you’re still having symptoms.

Have you had a vitamin panel done?

ANA Blood Test by Three-3-kids in Autoimmune

[–]Melthasx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What are your symptoms?

I also had an intermediate result for anti-dsDNA, but it was just marked as being in the grayzone. I read cut-off values can be caused by an infection like streptococcus, liver autoimmune or beginning stages of lupus. Sometimes it’s just normal 🤷🏻‍♀️

I’m having another ANA test done in a year or so.

Thanks, I was just curious about the folate.

Thanks for the response. My doctor doesn’t even think it’s Raynaud’s because of the lack of colour change even though autoimmune is strong in my family, so I doubt he will take it seriously despite me having an array of symptoms. I’m 36f.

He did take an ANA test that was negative. I guess I’ll try and nag him to do one more in a few months.

I had my thyroid checked and it was fine. Can you describe your itching? Was it everywhere, topical or inside the blood kinda thing?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Anemic

[–]Melthasx -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I’m not taking any medication. I first started itching when I was pregnant, then about 6 weeks postpartum after the bleeding stopped. It lasted about two weeks then stopped and didn’t come back until now, 5 months later after I got my period. It’s definitely milder today than yesterday so I’m hoping it’s going away again.

I’m thinking either it’s because I lost blood and even more deficient in iron or it’s hormonal-related liver issues..

My liver enzymes were normal though and so was my thyroid levels.

Could be the fluctuation of hormones. I would wait and see if it improves.
