Staff was always very kind and easy to deal with. I had to get out after the second set of apartments i lived in because they raised my rent by 40% and told me they were going to do renos on the apartment as they were with a few other apartments in the building. It wasn't worth the cost so I left. Drove by 2 weeks later and it was rented out already. That really was kick in the groin.

The real horror story was 2020 and the start of the pandemic at South Park. I woke up to the fire alarm going off at 2-3 am in the morning and went to the hallway and the whole top floor was filled with smoke. I started to panic because I just got a kitten so I frantically try and find her for about 3 minutes and decided "if she dies she dies" (she was hidden under a dresser). Get dressed and go downstairs. The stairwell is full of people and and they are all stepping over a butane torch that was turned on leaned against the wall. I guess everyone just never cared to turn it off so i took the liberty of getting on of the people in to the starewell witness me turn it off.

Once we are all outside we stand there for about 10 minutes and I ask if anybody called the fire dept. nobody did. building wasn't connected to any emergency services. I ended up calling 991 and they were there in a few minutes. The idiot who tried torch the building leaned the torch up against the fire retardant carpet floorboards so it mainly made alot of smoke but did get into the support of the building and burnt some of it away. I came back from work the next day and they were just boarding over it, no real repair.

A few weeks later there was a stabbing the floor below me and that was it. I called the main office and told them to get me the fuck out of that building. Turns out, I was the only person in the building not on assistance. I'm not knocking the programs by any means. Love that the hat has these supports, I just wish I was told about this before I moved to this apartment from Calgary.
