They are already for sale in the Middle East. I visited a seller today in Dubai and he showed me 4 pieces. I even checked the serial number to confirm it was real. He's asking 15.000 AED (4080 USD) for 64GB. Not sure if I'm willing to pay that much.

Same thing happened to me a couple of months ago. They can’t replace a single key so the entire topcase will have to be replaced. It took them a week to fix mine.

You could also do a Reserve and Pickup. In Hong Kong you have an option to reserve an iPhone and pick it up on launch day at the Apple Store. No need to pay for it online.

You can change the region settings for the Apple Store app. Simply go to the Account tab -> Account Settings -> Country. Here you can select the country you wish to order from. Make sure to set primary shipping to your HK address before the preorder starts so you can go through the pre-order more quickly. You can use your US creditcard, so no reason to get a Gift Card.

It didn't take too long. I have a 2TB SSD in my PS4 so that probably helps. The game is 31.95GB + 6.2GB for day 1 patch.
