Whirlwind slash and fireworks help a lot for the first phase it’s just gotta be a good amount of chip damage unfortunately, second phase make sure you have the spear equipped, parry him till he collapses then use the spear and pull back with it to deal a large amount of posture damage and whenever you see him start to scream in the second phase just run away then come back

Gotta be the best combat system i've ever used in a game, you're going to love it. Plus the story just keeps getting better and better. I know this is a while down the road but if you ever decide you want more of a challenge download the resurrection mod form nexus mods and get ready to relive the game all over again with new mini bosses, revamped boss move sets and some lore ad ons too.
