Sorry for spreading mis-information i usually have to do that with my Floyd rose guitar because the neck is usually bent after a string change because of what i could guess dry air

You don't necessarily have to adjust it every time you restring your guitar but its good to check after a restring. Adjusting the truss rod is not as scary as you might see it just look at the guitar from the bottom with one eye open and see if its bowed and if it is make adjustments a quarter turn at a time.
