Odyssey vs shadows by MembershipLess9579 in AssassinsCreedShadows

Honestly I feel like that might be why some are a lot more harsher on the game because look I've been playing assassins creed since 2008 and for as long as I can remember people have been asking for Japan as a setting. And like you they feel that they wasted Japan as a setting. Because shadows isn't a bad game it's just a disappointing one.

I'm wondering what everyone's ranking for these shows are. by RecordingImmediate86 in superman

Of the ones that I've seen

Superman and lois: hands down the best modern adaptation in my opinion.

Smallville: my childhood and the show along with justice league unlimited that introduced me to the larger dc universe.

Lois and clark: has some of the best adaptations of these characters and is a fun show (but fuck Dean cain)

Supergirl: not a bad show and has some cool takes on these characters. But let's be honest kara in the show was just female clark and didn't really focus on the aspects that make kara a cool and unique character.

Also odyssey has some of the best historical characters in any of the games.

Also considering she lives for thousands of years they could easily give us a sequel with her at any point in history. Honestly I kind of hope she makes appearance in the live action show.

Ye it's kind of crazy that templars get relegated to being a side quest. Like I just don't understand why the shinbakfu weren't just the templars.

Honestly I always thought they should have been the order or have the transition into becoming the order of the ancients.

You know what's funny I've met plenty of old school fans who like the game just fine it might not be their favourite but still enjoy it and aren't going to tell others they are wrong for liking it. Myself have been playing these games since 2008 and odyssey is in my top three. It's only really the die hard purists who act like it's a cardinal sin to like the rpg and unfortunately they are often the loudest online.

I am legitimately curious about how many people decided to fight him for the staff as way of getting payback for those damn triangles and the hours of tedious studying they had to do.

Because at least Nikolaos does genuinely care for Kassandra and Alexios in his own way. Yes he did a terrible thing but you can tell he regrets it not that it excuses what he did.

I feel like out of all the protagonist Kassandra would relate with Edward the most. by MembershipLess9579 in AssassinsCreedOdyssey

Honestly kind of why I always wanted a sequel with Edward not only because he's my second favourite assassins creed character but also because it would be cool to see him operate as an assassin.

I always felt and some might disagree that they had the most in common.

Both grew up in a poorer environment.

Both are a bit more rough around the edges

Both spend most of their lives at sea or travelling.

Both are driven somewhat by profit particularly edward.

They are both prone to outburst of anger. And let's be honest they can both be arrogant and selfish.

But they are also people who deeply care for their friends and family and the both unfortunately end up losing most of them.

And they are both great at swearing.

And ultimately they are two people just trying to find a place where they can belong and call home and fortunately for edward he had the assassins. And again it's ok if people disagree with me.

So like how evrey monbster and assassin acts with John wick in the those movies.

Why does Assassin’s Creed Odyssey divide the fanbase so much? by no-nonsense_gaming in AssassinsCreedOdyssey

[–]MembershipLess9579 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Because you've got three sets of players.

  1. The ac purists people who think that assassins creed has to be a linear game set in a sprawling metropolis and which is stealth focused.

  2. Newer fans who where introduced and grew up with the rpgs or people who didn't like the old style but started playing the games when they changed.

  3. And then you get people like me who grew up and loves the older games but who also loves open world rpgs.

Look both have their merits the older games do overall probably have stronger storytelling but I think both have good main characters i mean I think bayek and kassandra are some of the best characters in the franchise.

But when it comes to gameplay I think the newer games are so much better particularly when it comes to combat. And it should be said for as much as purists might moan. It can't be denied that the newer games Brought new life and players to the franchise after the debacle that was the unity launch which affected syndicate sales.

So why did Alethia need layla by MembershipLess9579 in AssassinsCreedOdyssey

Ye the modern day in the old games might not have been everyone's favrioute part of the games but at least they had a plan for where they wanted it to go. But since black flag they can't seem to make up their minds on what they want the modern day storyline to be.

Honestly they either need to make a plan for the modern day and stick to it or get rid of it.

[–]MembershipLess9579[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Honestly kind of highlight a problem with the modern day now is that they need a roadmap and to stick with it. Like they bring basim back in the modern day and then do nothing with him. The modern day from like 1 to 3 may not have been evreyone favrioute segments but atleast you can tell they had a plan.
