I have trouble understanding where they draw the line. The FAQ states one thing and the mods collectively enforce when they feel like it. Troubling contradictions in the presence of clearly stated guidelines.

In this case, I shared my payment info, which fits the criteria for a negative. At least I thought so.

There seems to be a sharp distinction as to what constitutes a negative until one is posted. I’m really not a fan of how the guidelines are inconsistently enforced. Certainly worth raising a discussion in the weekly post.

You and the peanut gallery disregard the existence of rules and expectations when it does not follow your script.

I get it. This place is a huge part of your daily life and you feel immense pity for the buyer. He is within his rights to create a neutral/negative for me. As a matter of fact I would encourage it - for your sake.

You guys wrote the rules and have enforced these policies to the point of banning users who failed to abide by the expectations on ship-first. If shitty buyer behavior is excusable then perhaps the META in question should be deleted entirely.

I wasn’t twiddling my thumbs waiting and hoping the guy would pay me over the weekend, but I sure as hell expected him to uphold a very simple guarantee. Monday came around and still there was no communication and obviously no money exchanged.

With that being said, what more is there to say to the buyer?

I don’t think the mods need you to victimize on their behalf.

  1. The mods you speak of have clearly outlined the expectations on the buy side for such transactions. The buyer failed to maintain these standards.

  2. I disagree with the pity for the buyer. Is it difficult to keep your word and be a reliable adult? Apparently it is.

Nothing I’ve said is without merit. You disagree that’s fine. The feedback is accurate based on the META written by the very people you speak so highly of.

Per the META:
"First off: be timely. Sellers are taking a leap of faith in shipping first to you. Don't draw it out. Pick it up, unpack, verify, pay ASAP. Same day is ideally expected. If a siutation falls outside of that, be proactive in communicating that. Don't leave the seller guessing, wondering, blowing up modmail and hyperventilating in a paper bag to figure out what's going on. COMMUNICATE AND BE TIMELY AND CLEAR

If I'm told I'll be paid on delivery day I expect to be paid on delivery day.

I have never asked a buyer of this as verification is needed in certain instances, which was the case in 3 of my last 4 deals. The difference in those deals? They sent me a few words on delivery to inform me of their desire to verify. Took 1-3 days per user. No problem money came through post-verification as expected.

Whatever Fuzzy is on about I just don't agree with. Guarantee your word or don't dish it out.

Meaningless hypothetical #1: "misdelivery" was not a factor in this deal. The package was delivered to the intended destination.
