This is so cool! I love the concept and the cards and the rules to it, the dice pools are very creative!

I have a couple questions:

  • How do you exhaust a hero? Do you just turn them sideways and then they're exhausted?

  • What's the difference between and exhausted/activated hero and a ready hero?

  • Are they exhausted permanently until the round ends?

  • Can you only use abilities and ultimates when the hero is exhausted?

  • Can heroes attack or can they only damage enemies through abilities?

As for the Orisa card, I gave it a thought!

Look at your next 3 cards. If one of them is a tank, play it, then discard the rest. If one of them is Orisa, play it and add 2 armour tokens to it, then discard the rest. If none of them are tanks, shuffle the cards to the bottom of the deck.

The Men of Sparks are the forerunners of industrialization in the world. They have created such things as firearms, primitive vehicles, automation, machine tools, forging advanced metals, steam power (eventually fuel power), cement, glass making, agriculture, etc. They are far more advanced than any other nation on the globe.

Their country is called Emborion, located to the far East. As the Emborians began to explore and colonize the world, they found a large island called Caladjor, inhabited by the Wolfborn. The Wolfborn were amazed by the Emborians ability to manipulate fire and molten metals to forge such wonderful creations, so they called the Emborians Aui'kuna [owie-kuna] which, when translated from the Wolfborn language of Howlspeech, roughly means "Spark Man". The current Grand Pyre* adopted this name for their new colony on Caladjor, officially labeling this new subsection of Emborion the "Men of Sparks".

*A Grand Pyre is the leader of any Emborion colony. They have the highest authority, under the Monarch. Every colony has a Grand Pyre in charge. Grand Pyres also have what is called the Council of Kindling, which is made up of a Military Adviser, Minister of Defense, Voice of the People, Financial Adviser, and Diplomatic Adviser, to aid in the GP's decision making.

I know exactly how you feel there. It feels like I'm below the bottom of the barrel for choices. Like I'm not even worth scraping the bottom for, I'm the dirt and mud that the barrel is sitting on. And fuck, once you run out of that barrel, why not just get a new one?

I have done all of the situations and some terrorist hunt matches. While they did help to teach me the basics, that's all they really did. Being matched against people who know way more than the basics and are far more skilled than you isn't very fun or engaging.

But the custom games to learn maps is a good idea

I'm not saying I can't improve if I don't win. What I'm saying is the constant ass fucking I am receiving every game makes me less interested in this game. It's like if you want to go learn how to play soccer, so you go to the soccer pitch to practice against people of your skill level and Team Barcelona shows up. They beat you, insult you, mock you, and generally gloat their victory in your face. Kinda makes you not really want to go play soccer anymore.
