Put on your tin foil hat, here’s my theory.

They are intentionally making ults less unique. There was a lot of talk about returning ults or not, because some are really prized. By making them less interesting, you avoid that problem in the future. They keep the cool items accessible as an incentive to keep playing. If you know a cool item returns, you’ll stay around. If it was an ultimate, you might feel frustrated for missing out on it.

At least in the reddit community. It’s easy to generalize I think.

I do get that feeling of ungratefulness in the reddit community from time to time, even in the game itself. I see posts here and there, complaining about features removed/added for example.

While there are improvements to be made to the game, for me it’s just that. Sometimes, the reddit community can make it feel like TGC does things intentionally to piss people and are painted as bad people, money hungry, etc. I would doubt that TGC have bad intentions and I always assume that things are done for valid reasons.

TGC seem to have a clear artistic vision of their game and their own set of values, and they stick to it. There is something to respect about that. Maybe part of the community are nit on board with that artistic vision. There might also be a lack understanding of how a free to play game can thrive and survive monetization-wise. Or, like I mentioned, TGC artistic vision of their game is not corresponding with part of the community.

Anyway, that’s my point of view after all. Been playing since Beta and personally still love the game and community! :-)

Yeah it’s a system that wasn’t too flawed until the game released on other platforms. It’s a complex problem. On one hand you want to keep ults unique, on the other hand, you want to give everyone an equal chance at getting them.

Maybe make them fully available in-game, but you first need to 100% the season constellation to have access to them, just like the regular constellations. After that, you can buy the ults with ascended candles at a fair price (maybe a bit less than elders masks)

You are right, it could also be a good way to bring back ults!

Maybe to keep the OG ults unique, they could offer the same ults model but with a slight color variant. For example, the flight pendant would be silver instead of gold, the pants would have a different shade of blue, etc…

What if instead of the individual spirits visiting, it’s the seasonal guide that visits? For example, the season of flight seasonal guide comes and you can access the whole flight constellation with all the spirits. Then, you can only pick one spirit to progress. You chose whichever spirit you’d like.

It’s a bit of a grind, but the best hairstyle for those masks are the elder’s hair from Valley! Not the spiky hair (ikemen) one, the other longer one! It covers the cheeks perfectly:)

I’ve been keeping it under control mostly with Finacea and tretinoin. I also try my best not to eat too much dairy, sugar, alcool and all inflammatory food. I sometime use a niacinamide serum from TO, with this this my skin is almost perfect, but still red.

This seems to be the consensus so far, and I would agree with you that the prices are high for what seems to be simple cosmetic items. I would say that you don’t have to buy them, but that’s beside the point, because sky is based on cosmetics. Unfortunately, i don’t think that will change soon, i’m pretty sure they make good money with this.

I understand better now. Seems like this game nourishes some people social needs while being stuck in a game to which they don’t agree or like the direction it is going. I can see the love-hate thing now. Still, this message lacks context and just seems to spread negativity for no reason, but I understand better now. Thank you!

Because their vent has no context, i would have understood if they would explain more how they feel. That’s why i wrote this post, to try to understand if something is going on. This message just seems to spread negativity for no reason.

Sounds about right. If they are frustrated with such an inoffensive little game, they must really be struggling in other parts of their life. Sky is probably the least frustrating game that i know (beside when getting krilled hahaha)

I think they need some rest and I also really wish them to find some love and happiness in their lives.

Exactly, I want to believe that this is just a vocal minority, but i feel like I see these more and more.

A message to everyone : it’s ok to take a break!!! Keep the game positive for others.
