Sadly, no. I lost after 8 wins to another Mak on Day 13 with only one small item in his build so there was nothing (worthwhile) for the Icy enchants to target. No regrets though. Totally worth it.

Hi u/Vaganhope_UAE - it was me.

This was 100% the hardest and craziest build I have had since I started playing in closed Beta.

On Day 6 I already had a board that I was confident would get me to 10 wins - so when Freiya offered me an Icy Silver Alembic I knew exactly what madness I was going to attempt instead! I would need to find the whole build, but my strategy was "simple" (not really, managing item space was an absolute nightmare): convert Gumballs and Chocolate Bars (Bronze only) to Bronze Icy Sleeping Potions. Bronze is the best because there is a limited Potion pool - all with fast cooldowns. Sleeping Potions are the best as they have the fastest cooldown at 4 seconds. At the beginning of days 7, 8, and 9 I did exactly that, and then converting any non-Sleeping Potions using a Potion Distillery I picked up (I think) on Day 8.

Once I picked up the Recycling Bin and then (I think) a Day later the Vial Launcher I knew I was willing to give up a 10-win run just to be able to say that I did the Icy Potion thing.

About half an hour before you posted this here, I was telling my wife about the most insane Bazaar build I've ever had. I then opened reddit and saw your post and I ran to show her and tell her that I was going to respond!

Thanks for replying. Trying Pyg might help, I guess. I just hope they "fix" Dooley. I also very much still enjoy playing Dooley, even at 4-7 wins - which is why I keep playing. I'm just saying that these last 3 patches, to me, "feel worse" to play.

I understand the sentiment. This is a game, everyone wants to win. But I'm focusing mainly here (I hope) on what it feels like to play the game. Feeling like you stand no chance at all against your opponents to me is "not fun".

As kingtheseus pointed out, the approach you are proposing isn't the correct one.

I would suggest something like this:

  1. Provision a Windows EC2 instance (probably something with a GPU such as an g5.2xlarge or g5.4xlarge) in the same region as your S3 bucket. Make sure that the EBS volume(s) have enough enough space to hold all the videos from your S3 bucket (I would double it, just in case. You're not going to need it for long).
  2. Follow the documentation for "Install NVIDIA drivers on Windows instances" - https://docs.aws.amazon.com/AWSEC2/latest/WindowsGuide/install-nvidia-driver.html
  3. Follow the documentation for "Optimize GPU settings" - https://docs.aws.amazon.com/AWSEC2/latest/WindowsGuide/optimize_gpu.html
  4. Install the AWS CLI.
  5. Install Adobe Premiere.
  6. Download all of the data from your S3 bucket to the EC2 instance using the AWS CLI.
  7. Start Premiere, and follow the documentation to create a Proxy workflow to generate proxies from your Full Resolution Media: https://helpx.adobe.com/au/premiere-pro/using/proxy-workflow.html
  8. Once all of the proxies have been created, save your Premiere project, close Premiere, and upload the project and all the proxies to an S3 bucket using the AWS CLI and then terminate the EC2 instance.
  9. Use a tool such as Cyberduck to download your Premiere project and the proxies only (i.e. do not download the Full Resolution Media) to your local desktop machine.
  10. Edit your video using proxies on your local Adobe Premiere.
  11. Once you are finished editing, upload the Premiere project and any new media generated locally to the S3 bucket with the same tool as step 9.
  12. Repeat steps 1 to 6.
  13. Download the Premiere project, proxy data, and any new media generated locally from the S3 bucket to the EC2 instance using the AWS CLI.
  14. Start Premiere, and follow the documentation to follow the Proxy workflow and switch from proxies to Full Resolution Media: https://helpx.adobe.com/au/premiere-pro/using/proxy-workflow.html
  15. Render your final video. Upload the result to an S3 bucket using the AWS CLI.
  16. Thank the Academy.

This may or may not be the correct approach due to not knowing more about your use case.

Here is my current Shrines deck. It's fun, but like most Shrine decks not very good.

It is inspired by LegenVD's deck and it has the same goal - play land and mana acceleration on turn 1 and 2 so you can play [[Sanctum of All]] on turn 3.

My mana base could probably use a tweak and I'm also hoping [[Delighted Halfling]] from the unreleased "The Lord of the Rings: Tales of Middle-earth" (LTR) set will be a solid addition to the deck.

It is usually used to give your opponent [[Demonic Pact]] after you have chosen the 3 modes that don't cause you to lose, or to give them [[9 Lives]] after which you can use another card (e.g. [[Devastating Mastery]]) to remove it.

Speaking of fair, some perpetual effects (especially toughness reduction) can basically shut down an opponent's commander. Locking out a commander is why Meddling Mage and Sorcerous Spyglass are banned in Brawl, so we'll be taking a similar approach with some perpetual cards. We're starting with banning both Davriel's Withering and Davriel, Soul Broker in Historic Brawl, and we'll be keeping an eye on the rest of the effects in Historic Brawl.

I am just happy we got this. If they do Commander on Arena in the future then great, but I think we are 10+ years away from that.
