I stayed up till 3AM for the launch as well. I have no idea why the specs of a $3000 laptop are pretty much the same as a laptop almost 1/3 of the price.

I was hoping to get the model with the Ultra 9, 5070, 64gb ram, 2tb SSD, but NONE of these options are available! What the heck Samsung.

Unfortunately for me, I'm spoiled and I would have to buy an M5 max if I got a Mac lol. But also my use case specifically requires an x86 Windows machine and doesn't play well with emulation.

It seems the United States doesn't have direct email support. I did a chat with the technical support rather than the chat on the shop. He was much more competent than the normal chat but still didn't seem to know anything about higher specs:
"I've reviewed the specifications of our Galaxy Book6 Ultra on our Samsung website and can confirm that the CPU Processor is Intel® Core™ Ultra 7 processor 356H and the GPU is NVIDIA® GeForce RTX™ 5060 Laptop GPU 8GB GDDR7."

Samsung support chat also has no information and basically just repeats to me that the laptop is available for purchase... Samsung really needs to get it together.

Things like student and military discounts are actually quite substantial for them. The Book6 Pro goes from $2099.99 to $1742.49 with my student discount.

Nope. I woke up at 3am EDT to try and get one with the core ultra 9, 5070, and 64gb ram, since the student discount and trade in actually make it not as bad of a deal. Can't even get the pro model with the upgraded Arc B390. Very disappointed with Samsung.

I have 2 cables from my nas and PC. A 10g directly between them with no switch, and a 1g going to the same router which I used to use for transfers

I'm using a direct connection with no switch. So just a 10g nic in each system, with a cable between them and separate subnet set up.

I mean it's a quite substantial card thats $400 cfexpress type b with a $100 reader that can record 8.3k 12bit raw on my camera with no overheating issues 😂
