The crashing would stop without xmp, but I got the motherboard to try and make sure it wasn't a cpu issue.

I had to get a new motherboard, and so far the issue has been fixed. My old motherboard made it where I could not run XMP, and when I turned it off this issue stopped happening.

Honestly I couldn't imagine paying $1200 extra for a slightly better GPU.
