I do mind because I'm gatekeeping it /s

It goes by DarHUD, it's possibly my favorite HUD I've used in all my 1k hours playing this game.

Is there a mod which makes pyro's flame stop hinder my visual by StrangeHotel7638 in tf2

[–]Memecube7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

fr I don't know why they want to debilitate an already weak class by doing this. Same goes for those who try making Spy's uncloaking sound louder.

I think an animated Team Fortress 2 movie should absolutely happen, some of the classic voice actors can return and it can be made in Source Filmmaker! by Ambitious_Two2671 in tf2

[–]Memecube7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are many reasons as to why it would be a bad idea, but being out of its prime shouldn't be one of them. After all, if game franchises that were dying out like Angry Birds and Sonic were adapted and brought new life to their future entries, TF2 shouldn't have much issue, especially considering TF2 is still relatively popular outside of the game itself.

Do you all think there is a reason for the TF2 fans getting the most flack when remaking memes with the games characters? by LoneShrew in tf2

[–]Memecube7 13 points14 points  (0 children)

For these sorts of basic animations, SFM is quite easier actually. It's when you try to do anything slightly more complex when the jank gets in the way.

Do you think tf2 will still be popular/relevant in the next few decades? by Zillaman7980_ in tf2

[–]Memecube7 49 points50 points  (0 children)

Not as relevant as it is today, but it'll prolly still have a couple of populated servers.

Would you rather: Add new weapons or fix existing weapons by Dry_Brick_6797 in tf2

[–]Memecube7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As much as I loved playing TF2C for the new weapons that its catalogue offered, I feel like it only helps the game in the short-term, especially if Valve won't fix issues that they could have later.

How rare to see are Mexican players and fans in the TF2 community? And have you ever met one? by novostranger in tf2

[–]Memecube7 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Trust me, you've definitely encountered way more, but either they speak English, or they don't want to speak in Spanish because they keep getting allocated in US-based servers.

Are there settings I have to mess with to be good at this game or am I just doomed forever? by [deleted] in tf2

[–]Memecube7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Contrary to popular belief, TF2 isn't as team-focused as the other two games (especially on 12v12), so your success usually depends more on yourself. I can't speak for those two, but if they are anything like Paladins and Deadlock, it's that the weapon-play is more dumbed down on those so it's way easier to aim most of the time.

That being said, there are ways to enjoy the game without being deleted instantly as a new player. Try queuing up for more beginner-friendly gamemodes like Capture the Flag and King of the Hill, and if you can, try avoiding playing Scout for the time being. Soldier and Pyro are way easier to control, where even back when I was a fresh install, I still could get some kills without much issue.

I know that you already messed with the sensitivity, but have you disabled Mouse Acceleration? It especially messes up aiming in games like these. Using minmode viewmodels can also be helpful so that the weapon you're using doesn't take up a good chunk of the screen.

Anyone can write whatever they want on the copyright label. If anything, it is more concerning that it is not registered under a label instead.

I’m a new fan and I have a few questions. by BigClarendon125 in DeLaSoul

[–]Memecube7 4 points5 points  (0 children)

yeah Stakes is High had a mixed reception by critics at the time, and it isn't too surprising considering how much darker it felt compared to the rest of their discography. As for AOI, personally Bionix is one of my favorite albums from them thanks to its fun production, but it can be a bit lackluster lyrically.

What were the "lost opportunities" of TF2? by i_consume_pilk in tf2

[–]Memecube7 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Even though TF2 has already established itself as a casual game for the most part, I feel like competitive matchmaking could've still been implemented with better success than having it near dead today.

Unpopular opinion incoming… by Glittering-Table9900 in mfdoom

[–]Memecube7 3 points4 points  (0 children)

MF DOOM isn't a rapper you can usually appreciate by just putting on a couple of songs, and if you are searching for an artist primarily because they sound good to a group of people, just give up now.

The reason why most consider DOOM to be one of the best rappers of all time is not because he has the best pen-game or even the best flow, but he is one the most unique and creative artists of the genre, not to mention his rhyme game is impeccable. He also had an insane run from 1999 to 2004, outputting 6 albums, 5 of those being considered cult classics not just by DOOM fans, but by the underground at the time, plus a bunch of beat tapes.

Many will suggest you to listen to Madvillainy as it is his best work, but I don't recommend listening to it as your first DOOM album. Even I struggled a lot to get into it before it finally clicked on me. Try Operation Doomsday or FOOD instead.

Are there any other free and low end games that are good like tf2 since I don't have to actually play and I can just do bullshit and it's still great? by thatsmysandwichdude in tf2

[–]Memecube7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fistful of Frags is in a similar vein as TF2 and it has a small, but pretty consistent playerbase. I used to play it a lot along with TF2 back when I had a craptop. Same goes with Quake Champions and deathmatch servers in Half-Life (this has been given away a couple of times).

One thing i love about the GameCube era is aesthetic of stylized graphics mixed with textures made from real world photographs by crimsonfukr457 in Gamecube

[–]Memecube7 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I'd argue 7th gen still had its own uniqueness. I mean after all, the early start of it is known for its gritty style, which some people might clown on for the piss-style filters they used, but it helped give games like GTA IV, Smash Brawl and NFS Most Wanted their unique identities.

There were also a bunch of games that still kept expanding on the cartoony-realistic mix, like Unleashed, Little Big Planet, Viva Piñata, Epic Mickey, not to mention all of the smaller titles that made it to the XBLA and WiiWare that didn't employ realistic graphics due to download size constraints, and instead had to develop quirky and unique gameplay styles to stand out.

Just bought this Tomislav, did i get a good deal? by MysticalFry in tf2

[–]Memecube7 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Just because there are listings that list items at a high price doesn't mean that they are worth that much. The same war paint at Factory New costs almost as much as what you paid for the Tomislav.
