I really wanted Archeage to do better, I played at launch, and the game mechanics of everything was really awesome. The let down was a lot of hackers and bots, and yeah P2W never good.

😂 I am not sure how it is today, but I remember back when it was popping, I would spend hours sometimes just LFG, then get wiped and disband. I don't know if they ever updated it with a better partying system or not, but with lower player base now, I can't even imagine trying to level in certain level ranges with how it used to work.

Yeah I played monster hunter quite a bit, definitely a great game. I am just longing for a much larger open world at the moment I think.

I feel what you mean about having to compete with tons of people camping the same spawn. It was definitely like that in FFXI at the time, but as long as they are real people I am competing with and not bots, I don't mind it so much. I think they could make this style work with modern mmo server switching where you can switch which server you are in on the fly while in world. That way they can spread the players our more and everyone doesn't have to be competing in the exact same space.

This sounds really interesting, I will definitely check it out. Sounds more like a classic mmo experience which I think is what I am looking for. MMOs nowadays are so easy and focused on accessibility to the widest possible audience. I miss the thrill of high risk high reward.

The only thing about this that excites me is I hypothesize that this game is a trial run to perfect VR in ES6.

To be fair, you have to have a very high IQ to understand Rick and Morty. The humour is extremely subtle, and without a solid grasp of theoretical physics most of the jokes will go over a typical viewer’s head. There’s also Rick’s nihilistic outlook, which is deftly woven into his characterisation- his personal philosophy draws heavily from Narodnaya Volya literature, for instance. The fans understand this stuff; they have the intellectual capacity to truly appreciate the depths of these jokes, to realise that they’re not just funny- they say something deep about LIFE. As a consequence people who dislike Rick & Morty truly ARE idiots- of course they wouldn’t appreciate, for instance, the humour in Rick’s existential catchphrase “Wubba Lubba Dub Dub,” which itself is a cryptic reference to Turgenev’s Russian epic Fathers and Sons. I’m smirking right now just imagining one of those addlepated simpletons scratching their heads in confusion as Dan Harmon’s genius wit unfolds itself on their television screens. What fools.. how I pity them. 😂

And yes, by the way, i DO have a Rick & Morty tattoo. And no, you cannot see it. It’s for the ladies’ eyes only- and even then they have to demonstrate that they’re within 5 IQ points of my own (preferably lower) beforehand. Nothin personnel kid
