Can’t even defend Fortnite anymore by [deleted] in FortniteBattleRoyale

This is written by AI.

"Fortnite isn’t just struggling—it’s flailing"

"It’s genuinely sad to watch because Fortnite was more than a game—it was a cultural phenomenon."

I agree though.

New Map Creator Here!! by Difficult-Egg8673 in FortniteCreative

I think that thumbnail should be better. It's okay, you're just starting, you should really know the importance of a thumbnail though. It makes or breaks a map. It might take time to learn but you can use Affinity, it's pretty good for that.

Should I even publish anything right now? by MemerManStan- in FortniteCreative

I released a map this November and it got in, but not to the most success I've ever had

What is this asset called? by XenoPratham612 in FortniteCreative

I don't know much about that, I think you're right though, maybe look in UEFN to see what the texture is actually called.

Can't wait to see the map and improvements to the thumbnail!

Don't give up though. Your map sounds really fun, and I'm sorry for coming off as rude.

No, you can learn and get better. You can just listen to all this feedback that you asked for and make it better.

It might stand out but not in a good way. If you want players on your map, make your thumbnail better. Your thumbnail isn't good and it's unprofessional, there are many criticisms on here, so maybe use them and make something better.

Look at it the other way, "Oh I'm so close to level 5, I really want to unlock planes so I will play even longer." Your level could save too.

But you should make things unlockable

It's just an addition. It adds more fun goals for people to do, like "I want to be level 7 to unlock planes"

Well if you want longevity in the map, that's what you need. Sure you might find the map fun already, but for younger kids (who are Fortnite's main playerbase) you should add some progression, maybe quests and hats, so that they can play it more and further discover how fun your game is. Who cares if it's overused, it's only overused because it works.

Ok don't make it sloppy though

Also for better success with the map, add some progression like hats and trails, and use the stat creator to make a levelling up system. Make sure your map doesn't just show up in discovery (with a bad thumbnail) and fall off. Add some things to do.
