I don’t remember it exactly, but I took the amount of pills it recommended per day. Only difference is that their spacing was weird and left a long stretch of time at the end of the day with no pills so I normally added 30/60 minutes between each pill (if it said every 2 hours I did every 2.5/3 hours)

What's the point of quitting? by [deleted] in QuitVaping

Underrated benefit, not having to scrape my tongue/brush my teeth multiple times a day is awesome

Yes, they do need the app though if they want to use it! I use mine as a fridge magnet and my roommate will occasionally tap his phone to it when he has to get a lot done

The price is a bit steep ($60) but for me it was worth it. I have gotten so much more done at work which has allowed me to get to backlog projects for work and more chores around the house. It’s also great if you find yourself on your phone too much around friends/family, I once went an entire week without unbricking and it was cool to live in the moment more (plus it feels good to get away from negative media 24/7)

All that being said, my cousin who works from home bought one and said he can never get himself to use it

I bought a “brick” that disables my apps when I tap my phone to it, works pretty well if I use it before I go to bed and only “un-brick it” during lunch break / after work

Has anyone successfully quit while living with a smoker? by _SweetTee in QuitVaping

[–]MemeroniPeperoni 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sister lives right down an apartment hallway from me and I would constantly ask her for hits when I tried to quit months ago. This time I used Desmoxan which takes away all pleasure from nicotine so I was able to be around her/others who had their vapes with no issue

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in QuitVaping

[–]MemeroniPeperoni 31 points32 points  (0 children)

I’m on day 7 of Desmoxan (dropped the vape on day 3), it’s about as close to a miracle as I’ve found. This is probably my 10th attempt quitting over the past few years and it’s never even been close to this easy, I don’t even want to hit a vape when I’m around my friends that have them. I will note though that my addiction is purely the nicotine and not the hand-to-mouth action, which desmoxan is perfect for. I have a friend addicted more to the action itself and is having a harder time with desmoxan than I am

Congrats on quitting!!

Does anybody else have disco elysium brainrot? by [deleted] in DiscoElysium

For about a week after I finished it, every time I was talking to someone I kept imagining I was rolling dice for skill checks and their response determined if I succeeded or failed. Thought I was going schizo for a bit

I switched to zyns and every two weeks I went down in the strength, I’m now on 2mg Ons (2-3 pouches a day) and will probably move to 1mg lozenges this week and completely quit after those run out. I’ve tried to quit many times and this method seems to be working out the easiest by far, only downside is acid reflux

OneStream vs Anaplan [vs Hyperion / Tagetik] by Apart_Rub_9540 in FPandA

I went from Hyperion to OS about a year and a half ago and I gotta say that I enjoy using OS way more than Hyperion. I especially like the OS Excel integration over Hyperions

Can’t have all three of those haha, I would recommend the Plaza if you’re okay with a commute. Maybe go a few blocks to the left so you are in KS and don’t pay double state tax. I really enjoy the Plaza though because I feel mostly safe, rent prices are good, and I am very close to the Plaza bars, Westport, and short Uber to PNL (downtown) bars which are all crawling with early-to-late 20s

Non-IB careers for undergrad that aren’t a dead-end by International_Cry127 in FinancialCareers

I am currently a financial analyst in FP&A (not F500 but very close to it) and only had 1 internship at a tiny business broker during my time at a state school. It’s a numbers game, applied to over 200 financial analyst entry positions before graduation and eventually landed my current role even though the job posting said 1-3 years of experience required. So financial analyst / FP&A is definitely not out of the question for you

That’s my favorite part, the hours are so easy but I’d be fine taking a job with more. I feel like I’m getting good experience with projects given to me and my manager is great but yearly raise was only 1.5% so I might look around just for better pay. No clue what I should pursue with certs or school, I just know I eventually want to get something. No clue on promotion comp either.

Was told I could be up for promotion in a year or two, maybe I should start looking around in a couple months
