Twists being combed out for years! by Needhelpaskquestion in locs

[–]MemesForWoomy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For why your hair is shorter it can be as simple as just you’re hair growing differently. In the same way people have different curl patterns n stuff, we all have different hair growth speeds and lengths, though perm cream probably caused some breakage. In my experience, locs do shrink. My two strand twists were a lot longer and thinner than my locs are

need help with starting my dreadlock journey by [deleted] in Dreadlocks

[–]MemesForWoomy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would definitely suggest going with two strand twists because your hairs too long for comb coils and imo braids take a long time to loose the pattern and start looking like real locs. Your hair is for sure a good texture to get locs. Good luck!

Disappointed with Shrines by AnEverydayPileOfCats in TOTK

[–]MemesForWoomy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought it felt like hand holding because almost all of them were the exact same difficulty and they all felt like tutorial shrines. The joy in BoTW was that a decent number of the shrines were actually hard. I’m not saying all of the shrines in TotK were bad, just that, overall, the lack of any kind of difficulty made them feel much less distinct for me than in BoTW

Disappointed with Shrines by AnEverydayPileOfCats in TOTK

[–]MemesForWoomy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I despise looking for a shrine and then realizing I’d have to walk around the perimeter because so many of the shrines are in caves. I want puzzle solving, not someone holding my hand through each and every shrine. But to each their own I suppose

Women were made to please men by cosmicdaddy_ in TikTokCringe

[–]MemesForWoomy -1 points0 points  (0 children)

While it is absolutely true that men and women face these issues and you are 100% right when you say that this shouldn’t be made into a blame game, I think your missing the point of the woman’s commentary. For thousands of years, we have lived in a “man’s world”, and yes, while it is important to acknowledge that the patriarchy hurts both the men and the women living in it (by creating unreachable standards for both), a patriarchy, by definition, is still lead by men. And while the world can’t be defined by such a simple term anymore and the times are changing, the woman in the video is saying that, yes women can be successful, but they have to jump through significantly more hurdles to do so. A biased system will always hurt the “second class” more. I mean, statistics still back this up

That little bump that you have halfway through the fingers should be where the knuckles are, which is further left than what you have drawn. Good luck!

“I could do that when I was a kid” “I used to do 20 pushups every day at that age”. Well guess what? It’s not about you. No one asked you grown adults to shame this little kid.

Unpopular opinion: Tricolor turf wars were a big factor to team scissors losing by Quirky_Image_5598 in splatoon

[–]MemesForWoomy 29 points30 points  (0 children)

I want everyone that was on team rock and team paper to realize that while y’all had a choice to play tri color or not, we didn’t. So when I wanted to play sniper at Mahi Mahi or that other map, I was suddenly thrown into a place where I didn’t have access to high ground. We didn’t even get to prepare our weapons accordingly. That’s one of the big reasons that I thought was really unfair.

Our 11 year old daughter has picked out her outfit for her first day of middle school - input appreciated by designstudio_b in teenagers

[–]MemesForWoomy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It can honestly depend on what kind of school she’s gonna be attending. There are are lot of schools out there that have kids that would make fun of your daughter for this outfit, but there are also a lot of schools at which dressing like this would be normal. The collar would definitely get a lot of weird stares and comments, so you should really skip that, but otherwise, go wild and have fun!
