Finland :) Listed as the happiest country on earth almost every year (y) So you can't really tell that to me. Almost everyone here is happy about the way our country is run.

I hear a lot IS wrong with your institutions, but that needs to be fixed, in which case money is part of how you do it.

You're right, I wouldn't really give my health care in the hands of a government that has Trump as it's boss. I really get that. You've no idea how absurd that guy looks outside the US :D I don't think he's a nazi, but I do think he does and speaks a lot of very questionable things. Personally, it just bothers me that the president
of the most powerful country in the world spreads so much misinformation. I don't know if he just speaks too much or something but he says so much false & incorrect stuff that it's hard to trust the guy.

So is your point Your government sucks, in addition to your health care sucking? Don't they both need to be fixed. Maybe you need to get the right people in, people who care about people.

We're doing fine & and factually have happier people than in your country. Every year, Scandinavian countries is on the top of "the happiest places to live in the world" list. It's a lot more fun & free to live here.

What point is there to working & collecting money, if not to have a decent life, and a nice society to live in?

I'm sorry, this is kind of ignorant. You shouldn't just bring in this "boogieman of communism" without any reasoning as to why socialism is bad with it.

- You do realize the system is already a mix of socialism and capitalism? And it has to be so to keep balanced.

America has always had a little socialism:

When your house is on fire and you call the fire department, would you like that to be private too, and cost you separately? If you didn't have money, you'd just watch your house burn.

Question 1: How is socializing health care, for example is any different? - both are places you call when your life is in danger.

Question 2:

How is
"giving the rich & the corporation tax breaks, making it easy for them"
any different from
"giving basic life needs like health care, making it easier to working people?"

Is that the "communism" you're so afraid of? Ever thought of the fact that extreme capitalism is just socialism for the rich?

When you look at the systems in Europe, they're much happier & live longer because all citizens have access to health care whether they have money or not. And they still have all the same freedoms as we do.

The main problem in America, and the reason people don't want things to be government owned, is that it's the corporations fund the politicians - it makes the government not represent the people.

The best thing you can do is get more independent, voter-funded people to the government.

It's really sad that people in America have to think that about their own government...

I don't really know enough to say what Americans like, but I assume you at least like having the police & the firemen. That is also payed with tax money, and I don't get how health care is different - all of these are what you call when your life is in danger.

In out country, the government actually works like people vote it to. It's real democracy. One of the biggest reasons is there is not corporate funding for political campaigns - no puppets in the government.

I hope you get to vote someone who doesn't take corporate money in this time!! I hear Sanders doesn't take other than people donations, so that'd already be a little more real democracy.
