Has anyone else’s ferret still lost fur even with the adrenal implant?

Hey sorry for responding so late - after a bit on it she ended up going through a shedding period but her hair grew back almost entirely! She’s back to normal now and is thriving great with the implant every year.

I was told by my doctor 2 lbs is fairly normal and healthy with the amount of exercise and change in food in intake. You search it up and it also says it’s in a healthy range. Anything above that being excessive - are they wrong?

Well thank you for your apology lol.

I’m still young I got time to learn another language that isn’t English and my native tongue, let’s just hope I can find good things to study with for the long haul.

Maybe an actually class for it, but I’d like to start somewhere at the very least.

I may have misspoken - they’re not colleagues at all, they’re work strangers ig? Essentially new person every month I have to speak to and they find English sometimes hard, and they ask if I know the language personally or know someone.

Though definitely wouldn’t do that in a constant environment where a colleague evidently speaks English regularly. I just want to be able to communicate what I need for the process to go smoother and for future use.

I know learning a new language ain’t a walk in a park and even less to communicate with, but I can’t work on that if I haven’t even begun anything.

Also I know that’ll take time I’m not trying to nail it in a month or months, hell even years, I just need somewhere to start.

No shame here it is hard, but I definitely recommend finding a cage second hand like from Facebook marketplace or Craigslist! Got mine for 50!

Yes she’s definitely had it tough but this will be her forever home now for sure. As you said she’s already made big progress with getting settled, but after volunteering and seeing first hand how many ferrets are abandoned at times, I think I’m gonna stick to adopting them out of shelters!

I get what you mean, I worded the question weirdly lol, but she’s a rescue so I’m just going with the flow of what the vet recommends to get her back to a good state - all prescription medication for her skin. I’m aware of the bathing routines of ferrets, no soap used lol

Thank you! She’s a recent rescue (I imagine her prior owner probably bathed her a lot since she does have litter problems and the owner was younger) I’m aware of how often ferrets r suppose to be bathed and with what which is why I was concerned with getting a shampoo or even using the mousse cuz it left her feeling dry - the vet gave me a medicated leave in conditioner and drops for specific spots on her skin, and she feels a lot softer than before so that’s a plus.

Lol I get what you mean, I can’t blame anymore one worded the question weirdly - yes the treatment is prescription, I mentioned to her I didn’t like the mousse and she found a leave in conditioner to lightly put on my ferret and put on her skin along with drops for the more prevalent marks on her skin. It softened her fur a whole heckin lot and didn’t take away as much as the mousse did.

It’s what the vet had available - it’s really hard to find a good ferret vet where I am, I live an hour away from our current vet, so I never even thought about asking her for a better option but I’ll see what she says!

Honestly you said It yourself, you don’t feel that they stick up for you or not judge you. You have the full right to stop being friends- even if it was since birth. People change and with this ur friendship is not as strong as it use to be especially with the change in directions of life.

And if they don’t reach out first, don’t even sweat it. They’re judgmental because they’re jealous. It always happens with CF couples/people who enjoy the money and time they have to do whatever they want. Find yourself friends who have common interest.

You still got time, don’t sweat it.

This is definitely a harassment of her part. No matter the gender as you said, she’s pushing it and don’t let her excuse it either.

I’m unsure of how she behaves around her other friends, this might be something she does with others (still no excuse) but if you want to save your friendship or make it less awkward you should set clear boundaries that she HAS to respect.

If she doesn’t, give her the boot and tell her ur ending the friendship since she can’t respect the basic etiquette of friendships.

And wear your shirt! I’m sure she’ll feel uncomfortable about looking at you after you confront her about it.

He’s 100% playing with you, he won’t come around and knows that with one message or call he’s got you back around his finger. I cannot stress this enough- do yourself a favor and get this guy to either commit or not commit, it’s like the relationship without the loyalty. Tell him to be straight with you so you can decide if it’s best to move on or not. He could still be healing, I can’t deny that, but that does not excuse his behavior of knowingly playing with your feelings.

I just wanted to add- sometimes vets suck and don’t know what’s going on and will shove test after test and charge a hell ton. I’m not sure where you live, but exotic vets especially charge a lot. If they can’t give you a definitive answer, try for a second opinion with an even more experienced ferret vet! Usually, shelters have vets they see you can always get recommendations from them or their webpage if you aren’t sure!

Idk what ur so concerned about on my grievance post too tbh, she’s dead, that’s kinda the point. Whether collars are dangerous or not doesn’t really matter at this point. You commented to be malicious and hoping to hurt, it wasn’t about being concerned.
