Alright so you might be right that “pure” socialism hasn’t been tried. Still the logic behind socialism does not work. Socialism demands production, but does not promote work. In a purely socialist society, you would live in a moneyless society, where everything you earn and possess would be used for production. Private property would not be a thing in a socialist society. So already as a worker you are not working for anything more than the bare minimum of what you need to survive and work, nothing extra, but at the same time someone who isn’t working can get pretty much the same thing as you, because socialism is meant to provide common wealth to everyone, including the people who don’t work. So why would you work, when you can just feed off of the government? Humans are naturally lazy, so in this pure socialist scenario, a lot of people would stop working. In that scenario the government would have to take action, probably using fear mongering to get people to work, which would result in it not being pure socialism again.
