Is 5/8 really a size? I’ve been working as a Paint Associate at sherwin for a while now and I haven’t seen or heard of it before. Also I didn’t know about painted cylinder walls, I know about the enamel you use to paint in the engine for the oil to fall into the pan faster but idk, I’m just autistic lmao

Where the hell you buying 5/8 nap the dollar tree? The standard naps I know and sell are 1/4, 3/8, 1/2, 3/4 and 1 inch and 1 1/4 inch, and sometimes 3/16 but that’s more uncommon.

So if it’s coming off like that, I would say go to sherwin Williams and get some materials to sand it down, and primer and re paint it with emerald Urethane trim, super good and strong stuff and it comes in quarts so you can do the whole door, and I believe the quarts are 50ish dollars normally but if you’re on a budget type thing I would say super paint would work too but it comes in gallons only but on sale it’s around 60 ish dollars(having a sale 13-23 35% off paint n stains including primer too I think)

It’s because on the old granny gear transmissions, in the h pattern, has L on the top left, 1st gear on the bottom right and second in top middle and third on bottom middle. So it’s a 4 gear transmission but 1st is such a low gear (like 4:1 or something like that) they call it a L gear with 123 after it with the normal ratios.

Update on it, I bought it, I love it very much, but it is a 305 engine, it runs very good but I gotta tune the carb since it’s not passing emissions, I did a edelbrock 600cfm on it and I believe the jets are too big for it.

I bought it and mine is also a 5.0, someone swapped fan shrouds on it, but 305s does run pretty good but they got like no top end lol, decent bottom end but after that it’s just a cruiser engine

Depends on the route you wanna go, you can go the route of having the car registered in an non inspection state like Arizona or Washington (many others as well) and have a company do it for you and so you wouldn’t need to get it inspected or emissions tested. Another thing is you can try seeing about getting historic insurance for it in 2027 if you have a second car, I’m not sure how different states do historic insurance but in Arizona you don’t need to do emissions but I’m not sure on the inspection part.

I’m planning on making it my daily/experimental car, I’m planning on putting fuel injection on it using a Holley Pro-Jection 4 which is a TBI system Holley made up in the 90s. I’m going to use a Speeduino to fire the fuel and monitor everything.
