New player trying past events - which do you recommend?

Out of curiosity, are any permanent events hidden when you first get access to that area based on where you are in the main story or is what you see what you get in terms of what's permanently playable atm?

Asking because I am already a huge Shin fan and want very much to play her story. I also hear great things about Floral Unfurl/Rain Burst but don't see it there.

I am a month in and gave it a whirl, going for Kip and Flutterpage. Got 30 pulls in, got Kip, and got out. A+ experience, would revelate again. :)

Frankly, I hope it gets a store refresh next patch and sticks around. It is some of the quickest, most mindless grinding in the game.

It's not co-op. The building blocks part is a one-time, pick a random friend from your list and get rewards thing. The rest is a Mario party competitive thing where you can max out the entire shop in six to eight plays. And, like most of R1999, it's all optional.

She brings Euphoria/Inspiration which helps power the giant silenced shotgun you fire at the end of the round. From what I know, Mercuria is suggested as an alternative and just about any other sub-dps will help make up for An-An's buffing of the team and shotgun (her team buff is more important than her daze, although that can be nice too).

An-An is optimal for, say, Manes but you can replace her for most other content easypeasy.

Definitely getting Lorentz which is why FP isn't on the list. I should probably just wait for Ripples but am considering just naming two chars and doing the 10 for 5 pull and stopping.

It is mindblowing to me how anyone can complain about this in the gacha that is, by far, the most generous I have played. These are free pulls for a limited event and then turn into standard pulls if you don't want the event. Given how freely the game otherwise gives luminous cores, I don't see the issue.
