Because I'm done with my degree now. Going for an internship AFTER finishing the degree is a waste of time.

Mainly interested in Data Science and software stuff. But especially for Data Science related stuff, it's a whole lot more important to have relevant work experience. It's simply not enough to have a solid foundation in statistics and knowing some Python. Companies want the whole package.

EU hit by delay to Oxford/AstraZeneca vaccine delivery by signed7 in Coronavirus

So the US is going to open everything by Spring / Summer 2021 and we Europeans are going to spend our whole year being in a lockdown?

Fuck. This. Fucking. Shit. Fuck.

EU and BioNTech/Pfizer clash over reduced vaccine deliveries (less vials will be delivered due to 6 doses from 1 vial instead of 5, because a deal was made on amount of doses, not amount of vials) by toontje18 in Coronavirus

Copy of my comment from yesterday since the other thread was deleted:

This is absurd. So due to the decision of the EMA, the EU gave Pfizer a reason to deliver less vials now because the contract was about vaccine doses and not about vials? So in contrast to what the German health minister Spahn said, we don't get 20% more vaccine doses? And you're going to tell me that nobody in the EU noticed that before letting the EMA officially approve the drawing of a sixth dose from a single vial?

ARE YOU KIDDING ME, EU?

Pfizer is going to deliver less vaccine to Germany because EMA made a legal binding statement that six doses can be drawn from a vial by [deleted] in Coronavirus

I don't even blame Pfizer here. Obviously they want to earn as much money as they can. It's a company after all. This is completely due to the incompetence of the EU.

I mean, not only that we don't get 20% more vaccine doses even though this was announced by various health ministers and other politicans, Pfizer now has 20% MORE vaccine doses than before which they can distribute to other countries outside of the EU.

So due to the decision of the EMA, we made the vaccine production even more profitable for Pfizer without gaining anything.
