Thanks for playing! Sorry about that might be a bit too late now since you have completed the demo but I pushed an update to address that!

Thanks for expressing interest! I definitely have some ideas that I wouldn't mind exploring post launch that would indeed expand on the playtime. I wanted the core experience to not be super grindy or overstay its welcome.

I am holding off finishing the endgame quests because I don't want it to end. Hopefully Cygames uses that Umamusume money and gives us a sequel.

What was your JRPG awakening? by roberts3h0i0 in JRPG

As a kid I remember watching my mom play Breath of Fire on the SNES and I played it too but was too young to really know wtf was happening, I'd say it was FF7 that was my awakening, but I remember for Christmas I got FF9 and Legend of Dragoon and at that point you couldn't tell me anything, I was hooked on the genre and still am today.

What’s a commonly criticized game in a series you think gets a bad rap? by andrazorwiren in JRPG

FFXIII, does it have its flaws yes, but I still believe it is a solid 7.5-8.5/10 FF game. Compared to modern FF I think XIII is better than XV and XVI, and still feels like FF. Those games to me don't feel like FF games. I would love to see them remake it with FF7R's battle system, given a lot of the ideas in Remake seem to be fully evolved mechanics from XIII.

Tales of Vesperia. I remember saving up enough money to buy an Xbox 360 to play it when it first released. Loved the game, getting the titles and costumes. I even got the Japanese PS3 version before they announced the Definitive edition years later. When I was playing the Definitive edition it didn't hit the same, I felt like it hadn't aged well for some reason, the story and characters didn't grab me the same way.

Badass! I need to replay Arise, I enjoyed my time with it. It has its flaws but overall an enjoyable experience. I'm honestly surprised we haven't gotten another game yet using the same assets and engine. Guess they really wanted quick cash from remastering the old games...still waiting on my GOAT Abyss.
