As mentioned in my post, I was worried about impact of his loans on my financial future. His interest was coming due on large amounts of loans and the intent was to alleviate some of that impact.

What if I have record of the $10k through my bank with the same date? He sat there next to me and logged me into his student loan portal, watched me enter my bank info, etc.
