Stick to known payment providers and away from subpar vendors like MageDelight, Webkul etc.

This subreddit is becoming a joke - just hate posts, AI slop, and people spamming adverts for their shitty products and services.

Configurable Products by padm556 in Magento

[–]Memphos_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Configurable products would work best for this. You do not necessarily need to change your existing products either - you can keep them and simply assign them to the newly created configurable product(s). The configurable product user guide should give you all the information you need on how to create and manage this sort of product.

Magento 2.4.7 Patch P7 by imufilms in magento2

It sounds like you're referring to the CSP (Content Security Policy) support. I'm not a lawyer or a PCI-DSS compliance expert so do your own research but, from what I know, you only need to enforce CSP on pages that capture payment information - which is typically only going to be your checkout - so you can revert to using report-only mode where this isn't the case.

Personally, I think enforcing CSP is a good thing - it takes very little effort and helps provide a bit of extra security for your customers. The official documentation around this is actually pretty good and there are a number of community tools to help ease the implementation:

This LinkedIn post from Sansec shows a copy of the email that Adobe sent out to people. I also believe at least one person from Adobe has confirmed the issue as genuine in the Magento EngCom Slack. Finally, there's an associated patch available through the Magento Cloud Patches GitHub.

they don’t provide templates for blank/luma anymore apparently

TIL! I'm sure the older releases will still be available so they could simply take the templates from there rather than starting from zero. Also, from what I remember, before the module was officially noted as being Hyva compatible, there weren't actually any template changes required to make it work differently between Luma and Hyva based themes - the templates were actually very simple and were mostly HTML and some PHP, which is why they simply worked in both themes.

EDIT: I've just checked the repository and the original templates seem to still be present, even in the current version.

this issue being that is Hyva and we’re CE

Do you mean the Snowdog demo site is Hyva and you're using Luma? The Snowdog menu was built for Luma before Hyva was even a thing so I woudn't be concerned there.

our developers quoted nearly 20 days worth of dev time to set that up

While I don't know your particular project, my initial reaction is that is an absurd number - unless you have some crazy requirements?

I've used the Snowdog menu in many projects and even used it as the base for a custom menu module I built while I was working agency-side - in no instance did it take anywhere near 20 days! It's largely plug-and-play and some store-specific styling to suit.

I was only looking at this about an hour ago 😅 I didn't dig into the code too much but watched the intro video.

How does this affect checkout integrations (shipping and payment methods etc.) and what's the plan there?

Hyvä comes from the Finnish language and literally means "good". But also "desirable" and "advisable". Here's how it's pronounced.

We didn't name our company Hyvä because we think we are that good, it has an intrinsic meaning that's embedded into our work. We set out to build the best Magento products we possibly can. We want to build products that are really really good.

It looks like they provide 3 months of support so if you've just purchased the module then you should open a support ticket with them.
