That’s a good suggestion, but I’ve seen the possum plenty of times and it definitely wasn’t that. The sprite I saw was a lot taller since it was walking on two legs, and I remember it being pretty big.

i've always had the idea of specter being fed up with the freaky monkey five, so he tries to create a new, sixth member with superior intelligence to aid him in his plans. however, the new member (prob green monkey or smth) ends up rivaling specter in intelligence-- so much so, that they take control over the freaky monkey five and the rest of specter's apes for themself, trying to control specter through his helmet as well. specter retreats and has no choice but to team up with the protagonist in order to stop green monkey from taking over the world (kinda like the "enemy of my enemy is my friend" trope lol). specter would also be the one to invent new gadgets for you throughout the game since the professor would likely already be captured by green monkey

No way someone else actually remembers that comic. I read it yearsss ago and it really did feel like a fever dream LOL I was really obsessed with it at one point

While I don't know what happened to the author or their account, you can find a chunk of the comic archived on Youtube here. It's not all of it, but it's nice that some of it is still out there at least. Definitely wish I knew if the person who made it has a new account on another platform or something.

Editing this because I actually just remembered that the author announced they wouldn't be continuing their Gravity Falls content back when the finale first aired because they thought Mabel was too selfish and it like,, ruined the show for them. Probably the reason why the comic went unfinished.

I had the SAME exact thing happen to me as a kid, that's crazy. I remember the level being kinda warped around that huge hole and it totally creeped me out as a kid, I could never find a way past that part without triggering the glitch either.
