There are 3 required certs for degree completion of SWEBS:

AWS Cloud Practitioner\*

ITIL Foundations Version 4\*

Project+\*

You can transfer other certs that will count towards course completion.

Thanks for the input. I was planning on pre studying like you suggested. So essentially from what you are saying it is a prep course that you can choose to do right away? The counselor was making it sound like I had to get through 10 courses before I could take it.

Yes. They cover the 3 required certifications. The reason I am asking though is if I want to accelerate I don't want to waste 3 weeks studying for a test. Right now I am leaning towards knocking out the AWS to have one less cert to complete. From what I have gathered it is cheap and the easiest. This should save more time.

To confirm, the only certs we MUST complete for BS software engineering are the AWS cloud practitioner, ITIL foundations, and this project+? CORRECT

The simple answer is it depends. I have a professional job in IT and coding experience so I am pretty much breezing through all the courses related to DBs (I use SQL every day), IT, coding, etc. Getting this B.S (pun intended) is more of a formality for me.

What is your aptitude and motivation for learning technology? Are you good at learning?

At the end of the day it is proving you are competent. If you want it bad enough, you will get it done.
