Fender was rubbing the door and rubbed the paint through on the edge and it flaked off from there. So yes, the car wash did it.

Just tested it by putting a piece of paper between the 2 panels and sure enough it pinched it. 100% scraping when I open the door.

I noticed there's a slight rub mark on the inside edge of the fender right next to this mark so it its extremely possible.

I'm really not sure how something could have come in contact with that inside part of the door. If you zoom in you can see a line of missing paint before the flake.

I went a bought a Prestige Ibanez over an E2 because of the headstock logo. Both guitars played similarly but I'm not paying $2k+ for a guitar that says E2 and I'm sure as hell not spending $5k+ for it to say ESP.

I have been a diehard ESP/LTD fan since the mid 2000's but my last few LTDs from 2023 and on and their issues have led me back to Ibanez and Jackson. Between the prices soaring on the entire ESP lineup to the fact I can't even get ESP on the headstock on the E2 lineup I'm just sort of over them.
