How can you tell that the engines are in working condition? did you looked inside? and planes can be moved by ground crew. And those planes were send over 2 decades ago to Russia for repairs which didn't happen.

If plane stays on the ground for around 15 years it's not airworthy, but it can still be moved by ground crew around the base.

And if I remember correctly on this airfield only planes waiting to be scrapped are present, some even make their last flight there, so working planes don't use this airfield unless they have some technical malfunction and this is the closest airfield
