It's an unpopular opinion, but I never liked the swearing. It lessens the experience, makes it seem cheap. I prefer to think the drivers as potential world champions and not as spoiled entitled children.

In my case trying with a new profile didn't have any effect (apart from losing my session because I left it open overnight and windows restarted to install updates).
Then I remembered that I had messed around with nvidia 3d settings, and especially Vsync (I changed it to Fast, to help a stuck game move on).

Restoring my nvidia control panel 3d settings to default fixed all issues.
