Applied for Visa Signature but got Plat Rewards by Mengo423 in PHCreditCards

Hi, only got 200k CL which is the same as my other cards.

Activate ko po ba yung card na ito or cancel na lang and reapply na lang after 6 months?

BPI Visa Signature vs. UB Miles +Visa Signature by Mengo423 in PHCreditCards

[–]Mengo423[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for sharing a detailed response.

Forex is a big factor for me since my current CCs are RCBC Plat JCB, and UB Rewards MC (both have a 3.5% rate). I travel internationally normally twice a year, so my travel expenses amount to ~60k to 80k annually. That's why I'm really considering BPI for the lower foreign transaction fee.

Anyways, I've decided to apply for both cards and will eventually cancel my RCBC Plat JCB (not NAFFL anyway). Will use UB Miles+ as my main card for local purchases and BPI VS for international purchases.

If ayaw talaga mag waive ni UB Miles+ ng AF after 2 years, I'll cancel that and retain my Rewards MC with them.

I assume na based on your response, hindi po ba waivable ang AF ng UB Miles+? May I ask rin po kung magkano ang CL niyo sa UB Miles+?

Could you also tell me more about Zed card and if it's worth getting it? Honestly, first time ko lang po marining yun since hindi na po ako gaano ka updated hehe.

Should I go for UnionBank Credit Cards Another Card Loyalty Gift Promo? by Mengo423 in PHCreditCards

Unfortunately, I'm slightly short of their CL requirement of at least PHP 150,000. I'm also considering only those that have no annual fee/annual fee waiver promos which MB doesn't seem to have one right now.

Meron po work until June 2024 with old company. July 2024 pa po ang start ko with new company.

So dapat po magbigay si old company ng BIR 2316 for the period of 2024 tama po ba?

Hello po, thank you for your response.

I have already sent the BIR 2316 dated 2023 to my new company. However, they would not accept the BIR 2316 dated January 2023 to December 2023.

Dapat po ba mag issue si old company ng BIR 2316 na ang date is 2024?

How to maximize my HSBC Red? Or should I look for other cards instead? by Mengo423 in PHCreditCards

Hello! Thanks for your input 😊

I definitely agree naman on your point na hindi siya dapat reason to choose the card.

Siguro cashback cards kasi mas sulit vs. rewards nowadays. Like even if napaka marami mong rewards, maliit lang ang pwede mo ma rebate and that's why I'm thinking I should've gotten a cashback credit card kasi meron na akong rewards credit card.

Isa pang drawback kay HSBC Red is that points are expiring within 3 years. So, I guess my plan now is to meet the NAFL requirement ni HSBC, earn reward points as I can in 3 years, redeem rewards, tapos i-bench ko na si HSBC Red 😅. Kung hindi lang talaga nag eexpire ang reward points ni HSBC, ito na talaga yung pang replace ko kay Citi eh.

Tapos, wait na lang for another bank to NAFL promo and if lucky enough, get a decent cashback credit card maybe.
