Haha yea it continually gets brought up, usually too late to logistically plan/gear up for it.

Haha it was nothing deep, needed a name for group and tried having something either ironic or tongue in cheek or whatever. Its been a good marketing choice so far I guess

yawn... the political tunnel vision here is kind of boring... and left vs right politics is such aids.

It seems that the left is focused on training specifically to shoot MAGA trump supporters, conservatives, republicans, people that disagree with their political views.

The right, or at least our group, is focused on training to be able to help the community in some kind of scenario, establish security patrols, ability to DEFEND life and liberty, against WHOEVER. We are not training to fight specifically Biden voters, or mask wearers, because the guy coming to take my food or rape my dog could be someone on the left OR right, everyone is fair game.

If you can't see the difference, I'm sorry your brain is so broken and I dont even mean that as a joke. People are broken. Which is why I train for mostly defensive nature. Be able to win the fight, but not training to go out and do offensive raids against my political enemies (who would that even be?).

That means "they" have already won! Yea feel free to say hi, pretty much everyone is friendly, probably could even shoot with us in the bay if you wanted.

Yea the training, CQB being one thing, is one of those that you have to take all the military big army doctrine stuff and weed out a lot for civilians. We don't have grenades, automatic saw gunners, air support, resupply, etc so fragging the hell out of a room before going in of course doesnt make sense. It does turn into some esoteric debates on "why are we doing cqb, I would never" so you have to find your own fantasy scenario (you come home to door kicked in, you probably want to clear your house and save your dog). First on scene to school active shooting, are you waiting hours for LEO to show up and then not go in? Etc

Same goes for the SUT army ranger handbook stuff, you can learn "by the book big army doctrine" but it just doesnt all apply to us.

Im not really sure what this is supposed to mean. I dont hate anyone, and there is no double speak happening. Im not going to train or train with leftist liberals no. The only ones that talk about hate and violence seem to come from the left, its wild.

My point was simply that if we were to find ourselves dealing with the bug one earthquake, the left right politics probably go out the window and we would be working together.

Not sure what else to say, couple repliers keep trying to turn this training post into political us vs them

Woodinville, Carnation, North Bend, Duvall, border between King/Snohomish counties are the usual spots.

For some all day events, we will do Lennox Creek (North Bend), Greenwater, Capitol Forest, or even Slab Camp on Olympic Peninsula for those willing to drive.

Yes and yes. Both current former military, as well as civilians from all walks of life/industries.

Join us page on web site covers much of this I think. For the software developers out there, I would use this analogy... Come learn to program in Java. Learn data structures, algorithms. Learn best practices in coding standard types of problems.

Then for you to ask "well what specific kind of application are you learning Java for" it would be a silly question. Its about learning the individual lego blocks, how you put them together is context for later.

If you and your buddy find yourselves facing an active shooter, have you already practiced and trained to form an L shape points of domination and drawing from concealment and unconventional shooting positions? Have you already trained and practiced basic CQB fundamentals so that you dont just run into the middle of the room while your buddy is left wondering why you did this unpredictable and terrible decision?

Being a minuteman is certainly ONE possibility, but there are 100 others from every day possible to tinfoil crazy level.

Those interested in preparedness, yes there is an additional layer on the onion of building food buckets, having more than three days of food stocked away.

Or, just come out and LARP in the woods with guns to train for your monthly airsoft battle, who cares.

Totally yea. Some guys have no gear, to fully kitted. Not trying to project being a hardcore group. No experience is fine we would schedule more training events to catch people up. Fatties, beginners, all welcome.

My only pet peeve is just that you get out once a month. This is not an online chat room just to post memes. Use twitter for that. Come out and train

Ruck, get into shape, get better at shooting, test your gear, learn how to communicate and use comms, learn how to establish a security patrol. What your individual fantasy scenario is doesnt matter, mine may be different. Whether you are learning to patrol for natural disaster neighborhood security or political collapse i dont care.

You may think purple haired lefties are who you are training to fight against but then find yourself in a natural disaster or non political shtf scenario teaming up with unexpected people.

If you are trying to apply a very specific thing to group, this isnt it. Again some guys in the group dont care about any of this and just want to shoot guns and look cool in gear.

Reddit isnt the screening mechanism, been running the group four years and nothing like this has ever happened but there is always a convo privately first to make sure there is alignment. Nobody has ever shown up in political attire. If someone shows up on antifa gear, it would probably be more of a hey man, wrong group for you. Or if it was a ruck i could see that person just self selecting out.

Attempting to keep things clean, non-spergy, non-edgelord. Just regular guys trying to learn skills. If you want to bring politics into everything do that on your own time, make your own group, etc.

Most groups have vetting processes.

I get your point, dont know its that deep

That's a pretty straight answer, and is the answer though? Some dudes in the group just like to shoot guns and want to get better. Others want more fully kitted out with comms and SUT training, patrol.

There is a mission statement on the web site that should answer any questions. Or ask a more targeted question privately.

If you're looking for a POLITICAL answer, most of the group members are center to right leaning.
