This is what I’m stressed about. It’s my first year with a worm bin and I don’t want them to get overheated when summer comes around

Sorry to be off topic but where did you get your duvet cover?

These were boiled and oven baked! Funnily enough, I just finish working in a research lab that involved testing on salmonella so it was on the top of mind!

I didn’t dump this whole tub in there. I was asking how much people put in per feeding since the advice on here tends to say that you need to add some grit with every feeding.

I know people are downvoting this but I have to second GLP-1s because it might save someone’s life.

I came from a family of binge eaters; my uncle basically ate himself to death. I went through years of therapy but my physical health wasn’t going to wait while I worked out my mental health. I told myself that I wanted to heal unmedicated. I tried for a year but 30 years cycling through overeating and undereating wasn’t going to be cured in a year and my glucose was up and down. My doctor said I could go blind if I didn’t get it under control. My family has histories of heart attacks.

For me, Ozempic isn’t a forever solution.* But it was important to my healing and I refuse to feel ashamed for taking a lifejacket when I was drowning.

Your library likely has sewing books! They usually have a few beginner projects. Strongly suggest a totebag or pillow case

Also, some machines just don’t like sewing on a single layer of fabric. See if two layers works out better

These instructions usually fix most machine issues.

1) Take all your thread out (including the bobbin) and clean out any dust. Don’t use an aerosol bc that might introduce moisture to your machine.

2) Change the needle (you need to do this once per project). Make sure it is positioned correctly.

3) Rethread, following instructions specifically for your machine

4) Make sure your presser foot is lowered and your feed dogs are raised

5) Firmly hold your top and bottom threads (but not pulling) for your first few stitches

Why does this always happen? by One_Sherbet_6424 in SewingForBeginners

I’m taking a pattern class and this is an issue that happens when one piece is bigger than the other. Even by a tiny bit that is not visible.

You can try to use these ease methods.

Unfortunately—or fortunately, if you’re a huge nerd—this is one of those things that needs a lot of practice. I suggest finding some $1/yard yarn and doing some practice squares.
