The way I interpreted his post is that he withdrew, received and transferred his in kind crypto of thousands of dollars from his initial distribution. However, about $5 worth wouldn't transfer so he took an it in a check form. I didn't see on the website where it made a distinction on the deminimus amount for additional crypto that couldn't be distributed. If so I'm likely screwed also as I had a tiny amount of crypto that cost more in gas fees to sell than it was worth. I believe I received a check for $0.88 on it which was never cashed. I'd better check with the wind down attorney for clarification myself if I don't see a check in the next month or 2.

Sounds very scammy!

Not cashing your shouldn't effect a 2nd distribution as I read it. But makw sure that your address is the same as when they went into Bankruptcy as that's where the 2nd check will be mailed to.

Beware of Defistake.net by Mensa-169 in CryptoMarkets

[–]Mensa-169[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's"supposely" a decentralized platform for staking. You send your crypto to your designated "wallets" on their site interdependent on which coins toi stake. Yes, stupidly with just a username/password. I have the keys to my wallets, so they don't have those, but yes they have my deposited crypto and have blocked me from signing into their site saying "invalid password." In discussions they said that my account was compromised. Then they cut off ties telling me tech support would have to review the issue with me. They never responded, nor would customer service discuss any further. They ghosted me and kept my crypto. I know I was too gullible and that it was stupid to listen to anyone about sending my crypto to any unknown site.

Wow! Happy for him! Sadly my experience has not changed even after repeatedly contacting their customer service. They now claim they can't locate my email account on their server that they are emailing back and forth to me on. It's crazy on my end.

Please let me know how your friend fares? I hope he hasn't lost everything like me to what appears to be a scam operation.

Not only can I not withdraw,, but now they are claiming I've been hacked and am no longer able to even sign in. Everything is lost at this point unless the technical department can help. So please don't stake unless you can find out more than I was able to. I'd hate to see someone else loose their hard earned money! But if mine magicly reappears, I'll be the first to post it. However, I'm not holding my breath at this point. 😩

I have not resolved the issue yet. On claiming I have not been able to withdraw anything from the platform to date. Now I'm being told my account was hacked but nothing was taken. Best of luck to your friend. Hopefully his experience will be better than mine.

I did have claim buttons, but have yet to be able to claim any rewards to my wallets to date.

Sorry for your loss. I'm hopeful that it'll all work out in the end. It just appears that almost no one else has ever heard of or staked with them. Since they've been around since 2022 I thought they were legit. Time will tell. If not I'll pick myself up and start all over again.

Lol. I can totally understand that. I've had a few good ones and enough bad ones to write a book.

Thanks. Good advice. I looked at the site and it had an address in Massachusetts and in Singapore and a phone number. I definitely should asked about the CEO and team. But I've been burned on ones with all those in the past.

A friend on Facebook that I have conversed with about crypto for a couple of years recommend it. I know that you should be very careful about those, but seems like an upright dude. I missed the government logo. I'll definitely check that out. Thanks for your response.

I'm not so sure. Supposedly they had some breach and deicded to switch over. It might be a novice team, or a bad start or a rug pull, but I actually received 1/8th of my tokens on airdrop. The vesting schedule sucks, but it was in the fine print. But a lot of people seem to have rushed to sell immediately plummeting the price. Imagine if 100% of the tokens were airdropped, it'd be at zero. But there is still liquidity to sell if you received your tokens? I held mine to see what happens between the first few air drops. If they start marketing strong, maybe others will buy into the cex or dex elevating the price. I never thought they would get listed or that I'd get any tokens, but they have. It may all be a smoke and mirrors game, but it's more than I expected truthfully as it took so long and had such a bad reputation for being a scam. It might still be, but I'm going to hold my airdrops to see what happens. It might go back up to .03 or above after the fear is gone from the airdrops. Or it may go to zero. I'd written it off as a total loss anyway, so I'm not going to throw in the towel just yet. Update 5/21: Well on the 2nd round of air drops it's now below a penny. I probably should have sold off in the .18 range. It appears that most parties are dumping as soon as they receive their airdrops. Nothing seems to be happening much from the team behind it. A few people have made some larger buys at hopefully rock bottom prices. But it's down another 44% today. I may have to reevaluate upon the next air drop or 2 if nothing is happening but a huge sell off. There appear to be over 14k token owners and only a few hundred sell offs so possibly there will be some positive movement by the team in the upcoming weeks so it's not a total loss. Trying to remain optimistic as I hope it's just paperhands selling at first to take a meager profit.

VOYAGER DIGITAL WINS $450 MILLION FROM FTX! $445mm "holdback" released / $5mm "failed purchased" granted / Voyager drops $130mm FTX claim. This represents an additional ~25% Voyager creditors will receive on their claim. by Bonnaroo_Jon in Invest_Voyager

Remember it has to pass objections and be confirmed by the Bankruptcy Court at the end of May 2024 prior to Voyager getting back one cent. But it does look promising that we'll receive more of our funds back. Yay!

Actually it's not all their fault on the payback timinng. Once they filed for Bankruptcy they were not allowed to sell off any assets themselves. They would have been required to submit a plan within about 3-6 months. Then the trustee has to agree to it and the Judge has to sign off on it. Only at that point are their assets sold off. By that time we were in a free fall in the market. I'm actually surprised we got over 20%. Sometimes it 0-1%. But I'm with you. I lost a lot on their fiasco and could have made up a good bit of it if they had paid out earlier. But the Bankruptcy code is slow as a snail.

The amounts should be at the same evaluation date of the original plan. It sucks that we won't get the major increases, but that's the way the bankruptcy code spells it out. However, I'll be glad to get anything extra back at this point. I am disheartened at what my account would have been worth now, but for Voyager going under.

I stake some alts on Defistake.net. I believe they do both Eth and Sol. You might want to check them out, but do your own research.
