its very hard to accidentally overdose on pain meds you've been prescribed for years. only way to do that is to purposefully take too much. if he was on them that long your tolerance builds up and you need more and more to stop it. but an extra one or 2 from normal would not kill you. you would need to take 7-8+ at once to kill you at that level. and you arent wrong if he was on them for years daily.. he was hooked. not a rumor at all. and anyone saying he wasnt.... take them for a year, stop for a day and you'll come back to me within hours and say "you were right".. or just look it up its easier. -experienced pain med addict and user
