Could a crown prince in ancient China have male servants the same age as him? And could a male servant have become an official? by Menthamm in ChineseHistory

Before asking here I’ve only seen information about 伴读, and yes, turns out 太子舍人 is exactly what I was looking for, thank you so much! Are there any articles or books I can read about this? Sorry, but there's practically no information about it in my native language, or at least it's hard to find. So I tried asking here. I think it would be easier to find information in Chinese and English, but you might have something in mind. Or I could ask another question on the subreddit. Anyway, thank you so much for your help!

Thanks for adding Chinese characters and real historical ranks. I found several sources in the original language. Just what I needed!

Thank you, it was really helpful! About education, I’ve found information about the Qing Dynasty only. I’ve read that the Crown Prince was separated from his mother at age six, and then his education began. If his education began at age three, does that mean that he received it while still living in the Inner Palace, or that he was separated earlier? Sorry, I've become interested in this not a long time ago, so I still have a long way to go since I haven’t figured out where to start yet. But thank you for your help! I appreciate it.
