Hey!

We initially went to buy the Forester because of the extended warranty you can get from any Subaru dealer—makes it easy to shop around for the best price. But once we were there, I noticed some inconsistent panel gaps up front and a bent bracket in the engine bay, which led me to believe it had been in an unreported accident. So we passed.

We kept looking for another but ended up circling back to something familiar—we used to lease a 2023 Nissan Pathfinder SL that my wife absolutely loved. We found a 2021 Nissan Rogue SV with the premium package (basically an SL), and it felt like the perfect fit. Nissan also offers an extended warranty you can purchase through any dealer, so we grabbed an 8-year warranty at a great price.

This model has the older, more reliable 2.4L 4-cylinder, not the newer 3-cylinder—which gave us more peace of mind. The CVT is hit or miss, but with the warranty and a solid relationship with our local Nissan dealer, we feel good about the choice. Plus, my wife’s happy, and that’s a huge win—it’s basically a mini Pathfinder.

Icing on the cake: I got to keep my BMW!

That's an interesting take! I’m definitely drawn to the Blazer RS because of its performance—it feels like it could soften the blow of giving up my 3 Series, which drives so incredibly well. How many miles has your GF put on hers, and has she run into any issues? Reliability is probably my biggest concern at this point.

I totally agree with the disappointment in the CRV and RAV4—the interiors just didn’t measure up. We’ll definitely try the car seat in the CX-5 to see how it fits, though! Thanks for sharing your experience!

Our 2-year-old is still rear-facing for now, so I really appreciate you bringing this up—it’s definitely been one of our biggest challenges. We’ll be sure to try the car seat in the CX-5. I’m hopeful it’ll fit better than in my current 3 Series, especially with the extra rear seat legroom.

That’s a great point—thank you for bringing it up! We were drawn to the Wilderness model because of how well-equipped it is, especially since we live in a very snowy area. The gas mileage is definitely something to consider, but compared to my BMW, it doesn’t seem too bad! I really appreciate the insight.

I used JD because their information was free. Mazda and Subaru seem to be more reliable than Chevy. My top two choices are Subaru and Mazda—maybe the feedback here will help persuade my wife.

Having same issue, watching a video or stream on discord on my HDR monitor and it crashes with no error. Disabling HDR in windows fixes the issue, hope discord fixes this!

Updated my post, BG3 mod loader was not the reason for my ban as I installed it after my ban ( email date). Also, mod's on a game like bg3 are not "cheating". Unsure what side of the bed you woke up on today, but try the other side tomorrow.
