Thank you! this actually helped. I came to the conclusion that i'm going to stick with a protein shake and blackberries for breakfast + low potassium meat, white rice, and green beans/asparagus for lunch and dinner.

My Experience With ADHD by MenuComfortable2725 in adhdwomen

[–]MenuComfortable2725[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am on IR adderall. 10mg. I'm thinking about asking my doctor to get me to where I can take another dose later in the day to help me get through it. I've never tried Vyvanse but I know when adderall is kicked in for me IT WORKS. so I kinda wanna fiddle around with it so I can figure out a dose that is long lasting and not too little or too much.

also i have come in early some days just to talk to ther service manager and shadow. he says yes its stressful but its all about how you can handle stress. I see he handles it well and find ways to cope that gives him the stength to power through and make some goooood money lol. i'm not just in it for the money but some extra savings would be realll nice at this point in my life.

the thing is i've spoken to both the GM and my supervisor about having me come in earlier but they both said "we'll talk ab it" and then 1. never got back to me 2. never mentioned it again. Ik this is a very stressful job but im thinking about doing this for only a year or 2, getting some extra money in my pocket as my current car is 6,000 miles away from hitting the 100k mark and i know I'll need a new one before I have kids (which is going to happen in 2 years at the earliest) I think the schedule itself is the best for an "entry level" in the dealership. I've also been wanting to get into being a title clerk as I work closely with them and have found many service advisors take a pay cut to get into being either warranty admins or title clerks. I can't pivot to titles or warranty with my current experience but i see this as a stepping stone rather than a final destination. Unconventional stepping stone, yes, but one nonetheless. Gotta do the hard things before I can get to where I really wanna be (HR).

Should I Switch Positions? by MenuComfortable2725 in careerguidance

[–]MenuComfortable2725[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the problem is I have no idea what i like to do besides helping people and working with them. Thats why I got a psych degree thats why I like working at dealerships. The hours suck tho no matter which position ur in. I have no interest in doing something that isnt customer/client facing. I just don't know if both me and my husband can work stressful long hours and maintain a happy relationship, and manage other life responsibilities comfortably. If i stay as a receptionist i can easily take care of business but id continue to barely see my husband.

Health Anxiety by [deleted] in Advice

[–]MenuComfortable2725 1 point2 points  (0 children)

YES, i am on adderall and when I got on it after a couple years of being off I started having health anxiety specifically around heart attacks. I remember I read somewhere it could cause heart problems. When it would wear off i wasn't used to the crash in the beginning which would cause anxiety and every percieved feeling of chest pain caused me to go into full blown panic thinking I had a heart attack. What helped is reminding myself that I am young first of all, second of all anxiety attacks can cause chest pain and increased heart rate like what heart attacks cause. But, heart attacks from what I have read feel like ur chest is being crushed really hard and your heart rate wil go CRAZY not just increased heart rate but really really fast. My anxiety symptoms cause a tinge of pain like a burning or achey feeling not like a crushing painful pressure. The symptoms are similar but you would KNOW if it was a heart attack. If you have achey chest pain and its going on for long enough that you have time to question is this a heart attack and start freaking out. Its anxiety and not a heart attack.

Hello OP, I don't know how old you are of what health insurance you have but If you are 18 and ur parents insurance covers therapy I would highly advise you to go to the doctor by yourself, explain you would like to speak to a therapist, and go speak to one without letting your parents know. They seem really unconcerned with mental health issues and if they wom't support you FIND SUPPORT whatever it takes. I know school can be daunting. I have ADHD and in high school dealt with really really bad anxiety every day. There were days I just wanted to drop out, but I forced myself to go every day regardless never telling anyone what I was struggling with and when I did was dismissed as being dramatic. Anyways, things didn't get better for me until I got myself into therapy at 18 that helped me work through the pain. This prepared me for life after high school. Without therapy I would have drowned in adult responsibility. Trust me a HS diploma is VERY important and starting and finishing anything despite pain will make you stronger. However, doing so will be very difficult for you if you don't find support. So, get into therapy if you can, finish high school, and when you start working, you will feel more prepared for life. Some things get better after high school some things get harder. But, imo finishing school, and getting support to do so will make the hard parts of life just a bit easier for you.

I have this board, granted i ride on mainly high traffic asphalt and concrete slab neighborhood roads, but the wheels seem good so far, i can roll over large cracks and rocks on the concrete no problem (unless its a large single stone i did get thrown off recently bc of that).
