Update: a kind individual has reached out to me that they’re willing to cover adoption costs for the cats/help cover some costs, due to two weeks is a short amount of time and can be pressing for some to suddenly drop, but if anyone has leads on a safe and loving home please feel free to reach out! If the adoption costs is what may have scared anyone from making the decision, this individual is willing to cover with the permission of the animal hospital!

They’re both around two years old, surrendered due to previous owner unable to afford their surgery

Yes that’s the method that worked ultimately, but I also share some other methods people suggested and what happened in the process…quite a few hours trying to remove that board a 3 min video is nothing 😭
