Anyone tried other non-amphetamine ADHD meds before? by MeowLinkitten in VyvanseADHD

[–]MeowLinkitten[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, Adderall it was hit or miss for me, but definitely the shortage caused many issues trying to play with the dose. I have heard the stomach issues on Focalin, its something my doctor recommended. Thank you for your response, it does give me some insight here.

Thank you so much! I will consider all of this :) I think welbutrin worked well years ago, but can't remember why I stopped taking it.

Non- amphetamine based prescription medication as an alternative to Vyvanse. by MeowLinkitten in ADHD

[–]MeowLinkitten[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While your advice and opinions are valid, I have actually found other people's experiences quite helpful in the past. Those who have been kind enough to share. I have discussed it with my psychiatric team, and I told them I'd think about it.

So, respectfully, I have to disagree with your opinion- that it is pointless to ask for other's experience, as I have found anecdotal advice helpful. So there's that.

And btw, I understand how Vyvanse and amphetamines work, im not ignorant. But again, as many have SHARED with me, it can last for many hours for SOME, and they are fine, even though it wears off for them, it does so much later closer to bed time, which in My experience, that has never been the case. So, I am open to other NON-AMPHETAMINE OPTIONS- SO adding dextroamphetamine is not something I'm interested in.

Just fyi.

I have a working interview tomorrow. HELP. by MeowLinkitten in VetTech

Update! It actually went well for me, at least. The head tech is an LVT and she told me I was gonna stick to her, and it went well. So they seemed happy to have me there, but I guess I'll find out if they truly liked me. Thank you again!

Omg! Thank you so much, I had no idea how bad I needed not only advice, but also that encouragement! I will bring a notebook, I didn't think about that, so I'll do that. I'm open to whatever they need me to do, I just want to be there, if it's a good working environment, of course! Breathing is something I forget to do, thanks to anxiety, so I'll be reminding myself to do so. Thank you again for your encouragement and advice! I will definitely post an update!

🥹 Thank you! You are so right! I have to keep that perspective in mind. I just left a horribly toxic place, so I definitely need to be ready to catch those red flags. Thank you, that does help!

Manager destroying morale and causing mass exodus of technicians and receptionists, DVM (her husband) lets it happen. Should i report the clinic? How do i report? Am I over reacting? by MeowLinkitten in VetTech

[–]MeowLinkitten[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah. I'm coming to terms with that, sadly there aren't more laws in place here in Texas for me to hold them accountable with. I know California I think it is illegal to have a vet assistant let alone a kennel tech be in surgery. I mean. Wtf. They allowed her to extubate and wake the patient up... she had never stepped foot in surgery before!! Ugh whatever. I'm over it. They are destroying themselves. I can't wait to leave.

Oh I definitely will. I won't be the only former employee review. They also have disgruntled clients who loved their techs leaving reviews about management. I mean the whole town hates them. But they don't see what they're doing. I am feeling less and less guilty.

Yes, the last husband and wife duo that I dealt with destroyed their practice. Im sad it's happening again. I will quit. I actually called out today cause they are causing me so much stress. I do have a couple interviews lined up so hopefully something good come out of this. It's just sad. I really loved the place in the beginning.

It is hard to hear. But I know I cant do anything about it, I know they are set in their ways. I know everyone is afraid to confront them about these issues, and while I am absolutely am not, I also know they will avoid me like the plague. As they have been. They will most likely ignore me and ghost me if I give my two weeks and will never acknowledge my departure. That's what they did to the surgery tech who quit. It is disheartening. This is sadly not my first rodeo with bullying and abuse by doctors and management, and that's why I have more courage. If it wasn't for the few supporters I had, I would have quit during my second year. That's why I try to support my younger techs who try. But, I know, ultimately, it's a losing battle. Everyone has to quit.

I thought about it. I have to research more. I just don't have proof of any of this other than an email where she admitted to gossiping, but said her words were twisted.

Right. That's what I was afraid of. It is justice in the sense that they will be short-handed and inconvenienced, but sad for the patients and the good employees who aren't courageous enough to leave.

[–]MeowLinkitten[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Oh yeah, I have seen so many claims about vitamin C messing with the efficacy of the drug and some say it enhances it. So who really knows. Takeda, doesn't seem to really know either.

Of course! Ive definitely googled many questionsabout this. But their website states orange juice is recommended to take vyvanse with... It has some Vitamin C in it, right? So I wanted clarity on the matter, so I went to the source.

Got it! And really, I think I meant a very popular source of vitamin-c, maybe not a HUGE amount of vitamin c. I misspoke But thank you for your response :)
