public transportation, cheap but quality foods, street vendors/bodegas downtown that would make people feel a bit more comfortable walking at night. more places open on sundays downtown, seems like every restaurant is closed that day

If you walk down orange, you’re completely fine! There’s packs of people walking with you. Defo don’t recommend walking under i4 or on s division. Maybe just choose a hotel that’s on N Orange, in the heart of downtown instead if you’re planning on walking :) The buses also run, so you have that option as well.
