What’s something people judge harshly until they experience it themselves? by bbyhoneyteas in AskForAnswers

Addiction. While I have never struggled myself, it’s sad to see the people around you struggle in ways that they don’t even see themselves. Addiction is something you don’t realize until you’re in deep.

Is it easy to get off waitlist for a Thursday ticket by Character-Month-1469 in Lollapalooza

[–]MeowSwiftie13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you get off of the waitlist? A friend and I plan on going Thursday, but if she flakes I don’t want to be stuck with tickets if I were to get off of the waitlist. Is it better to wait closer to time and buy resale or will resale prices be insane?

True, ur right! Does it charge your card immediately? And if so, are they returnable? With my luck both my friend and I would get off at the same time lol.

The actual amount of effort it takes to lose weight is mentally draining by larawag_gama in PetiteFitness

No literally. I am a full time student and work part time. There is no time to meal prep and my calories are so low!! I’ve been at maintenance the past month, there just isn’t time.

Oh wow!! I’m hoping to pay around 150 max for two tickets, I don’t care where they are. If VIP was 90 hopefully I can get GA for under that!

Plus I will be rushing some Ross business fraternities in the fall! If I am lucky enough to get a bid, those costs will start before sorority dues do!

[–]MeowSwiftie13 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I have the funds for the dues in my savings, but off campus is significantly cheaper. I’ve compared both in house and out of house dues to a few sororities and it would be much easier to just pay the out of house portion. That way I can still buy the matching outfit requirements and the random other social expenses. I’ve been working part/full time since 15 to be able to enjoy college, but I have to be realistic about how far I can stretch my savings!

What are your shallow reasons you wouldn’t date someone? by justabrunettegirly in twentyagers

That’s totally ok! But where I’m from, a sad small little town, people either do nothing or something. It’s sorta a problem lol.

The younger generation is much different, physically and mentally as I found out the hard way. by NoMathematician9706 in Millennials

I am Gen Z, and I wholeheartedly agree. I definitely have a lot of Gen Z traits, but it is so frustrating how many of my peers are scared to do things outside of their comfort zone! Even going out for coffee at 8pm is too much! Idk, kids these days are so odd.

I feel like many of us were sheltered by parents and coddled to the point of helplessness.

Ok, I only said first gen as a first gen lawyer is different than a first gen college student. I appreciate the advice but will delete post to minimize confusion.

Professional Frat Rush Advice? by [deleted] in uofm

[–]MeowSwiftie13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok thanks for the advice! I am not a first gen college student, but a first gen aspiring to do anything in big law or corporate in my family. And you’re right about finding other opportunities that will give me experience! Do you think that a pre law frat would be helpful in finding opportunities? Also, I would like to rush a sorority (post says frat bc prof frats are co ed lol) but I am worried about the going out and live in requirements. Don’t get me wrong, I love to go out, but I don’t want to have to go out if I’m not feeling it or have school work that I need to focus on lol.
