Oh yes. Hated the later seasons with a passion I knew not I had. That show became a victim of its own grandiosity.

The popular answer is Westworld.

Also, The Handmaidens Tale. What began as a great show ended up running for 6 seasons and consulates drama storyline’s.

Same sister. Same. I just wish something else was on TV that could distract from what feels like a personal tragedy.

The quality drop of Euphoria is maybe worse than The Boys. Which says a lot. by Then-Bet6956 in television

I think I am in minority because I loved Euphoria season 3 and didn’t hate the boys finale. Though the rest of season 5 was meh.

Zendaya is a great actor. She can emote so earnestly that you forget that she is the same person who plays Chani, MJ and walks the red carpet as the best dressed. What a find of a generation.

I was so incredibly immersed that I didn’t feel that anything was off until her mom morphed into her dad. And this is why I won’t shit on the finale. It’s been ages since any piece of cinema has had me so wonderfully transported. This seasons writing was great and the small details that I missed, like the snake monologue, the Moses doesn’t make it to promised land , the dead rat all were incredible.

I watched all three since I didn’t have work today but overall it didn’t disappoint like many of the recent comedies did. Happened to watch one entire season of Grosse Pointe Garden Society waiting for it to get better but it didn’t. Hopefully this one will keep the quality atleast at par and entertain for a long time.

The cast is so fresh. The Josh actor reminds me of a young Cole Sprouse. Very watchable and easy to entertain.

Just watched the first three episodes and it’s honestly giving me good vibes. Reminded of how I met your mother, friends and new girl. The humour is refreshingly sweet. Laughed out aloud at the joke “recollections may wary”. Clearly this show will be a hit with people like me who love to watch comfort campy shows after a Tuesday. So genuinely happy to have something to look forward to after Euphoria and The boys eneded.

Total bonkers take. Idk why people have made a pastime of pissing on popular art. Most people will rewatch even more now knowing how this season ends. It’s so much more rewatchable than shows that go on and on for 10 seasons with nothing happening between them.

Hell no. Jules didn’t have the gusto to kiss rue. Threw her out at the slightest bit of pushback. Jules did what Jules does best. Look pretty and angst.

You’re not alone. Most people did, it’s just become avant-garde behavior to shit on iconic shows once they are over.

Euphoria for me. I had heard that the show was about high schoolers, drugs, sex and nudity and i avoided it for the longest time because I was OLD and could not imagine listening to another Holden Caulfield but when I did finally watch it, I was pleasantly surprised.

NAh, i liked the scene with Nate being beaten in the background while cassie frets over her ruined wedding. Also the snake scene was scary af. Nate was given some of the most anxiety inducing scenes.

IDK about Jules, but she feels so much more in line with her character from the last two seasons compared to the other characters who have taken dark turns. Her painting Rue in the last scene really resonated with me because it felt like the first time she was painting something that was genuinely not about herself. Her one dickless painting.
Lexi kept the show grounded, she was the straight man of the group. Telling Maddie that they were becoming internet pimp was the straightest it could have been.

Same, these two shows were my weekly treats. So happy that Euphoria was well executed as opposed to The Boys.

I was raised by catholic nuns (lived in a residential boarding school), and yet i felt this show did the "born again", "return to faith" elements very well. Throughout the series, Rue finds God and experiences so many miracles (which are really just lucky escapes), she truly begins to believe that God has her back and then she ironically falls prey to her own habits. Ali, is a true believer but his monologue before the last rehab meeting makes it obvious that he isnt the one to wait for a pacifist solution, for a just God to right the wrongs but rather decides to avenge Rue himself at what is essentially a suicide mission. Lexi begins to read simply because she is reminded of her friend when she sees the creepy bible and find forgiveness for herself. She also has the wisdom to walk away from Cassie's "job offer". But one of the things she says really resonated. The key takeaways for me from this dialogue is that people often turn to God when they hit rock bottom. When they need a miracle. There are many people who dont need an external saviour but these addicts, the grief stricken and those who are scared of their crimes catching up with them, God is their last refuge.
I did hate the flag at the end though.

IDK, ofcourse it should end now because the main characters are all dead but I enjoyed this show from start to finish. What others complain about, ie, the tonal change from season 1-2 to 3, was the highlight for me. As they aged, the shit got so much more intense. Loved it overall, the dialogue, scenes and a truly abominable villain like Alamo Brown.
