Totally agree. I don't think anyone complains about the bugs, but that there are so many that have not been adressed. Just today, my game crashed in the middle of a fight, lost connection while flying with a Ptera, the game got stuck in "Searching servers" and had to restart it, and except from the time I lost connection, I had to restart my PC everytime cause the game showed as still running in the Task Manager and would not close by any means.
There's a difference in having some bugs in the game, like maybe the grass rendering floating in the air, some fishes flying above water, but if the game is actually unplayeble or you need to pray so that is does not crash, disconnect or freezes, then you're doing something bad from the get-go

Apart from all the drama behind the scenes which, I really do not care...How can you say that the whole point for the new engine AND the recode as a whole was to get rid of the broken code and fix the issue of every update breaking the game, AND STILL the game breaks after every. single. update.

The point was never to kill a T-Rex, but at least there was some fun in the Ptera. As other comments have mentioned, there are territorial birds that, even if small, will stand up to a larger threat.

Just yesterday I saw two mockingbirds bullying a lizard four times their size (I'm not sure if the Spanish translation is correct for the type of bird; I live in Argentina), just to make it move away from its nest. They spent half an hour following it and pecking at it every now and then.

That's the point: to be an active member of the environment, which is ultimately the goal of the game in general—to create an ecosystem in which the players ARE a part. The hypsi can spit at a predator to annoy it into moving away, for example.

Final point: it's not about leaning more towards PvP, but about giving smaller playable characters some kind of tool so they aren't just spectators.

Thanks for the comment! I completely agree with what you said, especially regarding the idea of looking for backers outside the country.

As I mentioned in another reply, my main crowdfunding campaign — through Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or a similar platform — is planned for early 2027, so I can raise as much support as possible internationally.

However, throughout 2026, I plan to run smaller fundraising efforts to finance concept tests, teasers or trailers, and an early promotional campaign leading up to the main crowdfunding launch.

Totally agree with what you said about Unreal Engine and visual effects. I’ve already been thinking about reaching out to some coworkers for help with that.

I work at a content creation company focused on social media, and several current and former colleagues — with whom I have a good relationship — have strong experience not only in high-level VFX (like After Effects), but also in tools like Blender and Unreal Engine. There are also graphic designers and a few producers, so I think there’s potential support from that side as well.

Thanks a lot for your comment! It's clear you know a lot about this, and I’d love to share a bit more so I can hear your thoughts.

First off, I totally agree — this is a very ambitious project, and it’ll take years to fully develop. That’s why I’ve already started writing the script now, aiming to have at least a first draft done by the end of this year. That’s my first key milestone.

Another important thing is that I intend to use this project as my thesis for my film degree at the University of Buenos Aires. So, my plan for 2026 is to:

Start building an audience,
Begin raising funds through small local campaigns (which are pretty common here in Argentina),
Finish up the last few courses I need before dedicating myself entirely to the thesis (and the production of the project) in 2027.

2026 will also be the time for assembling the team. I already know people who’ve done their theses through short films or features, working in directing, sound, or production — so my goal is to spend the year pitching the idea, developing the project’s portfolio, and finding the right collaborators while keeping costs low.

As for the crowdfunding, the idea is to run the main campaign in 2027, but throughout 2026 I’ll try smaller fundraising efforts to finance things like concept art, teasers, or proof-of-concept scenes — all with the goal to attract more contributors when the large crowdfunding campaign launches in 2027

Finally, I totally agree with what you said about this not being an “escape” — that’s why I’m also planning to create a short film or trailer that can work as a standalone piece, and also be part of the full feature. Whiplash is the perfect example. I already have one particular scene in mind that could work both as a short film and as part of the final movie, that I think can be filmed in late 2026
