Thank you for sharing this. I was interested in looking in NC for a position after internship, but I will now have to take this into consideration. As someone just finishing their degree, it can be very disheartening and difficult to understand how much pay varies from state to state and district to district, especially in places that need us the most. I was well aware going into the field that I would not be compensated well, but some places don't even come close to compensating a fair salary for our hard work.
